Border Patrol Nabs Nearly 200 Illegal Immigrants Near New Mexico

The unlawful residents were trying to cross into our country in the middle of the night near Camp Bounds Forward Operating Base

U.S. Border Patrol on Monday said that its agents apprehended a group of nearly 200 illegal aliens.

This occurred near a base at a New Mexico port of entry over the weekend, as Fox News reported.

The agency said 194 illegal immigrants were taken in by authorities after 3 a.m. on Sunday.

The individuals were trying to cross the border near Camp Bounds Forward Operating Base, which is located near the Antelope Wells Port of Entry in New Mexico, a statement read.

The group consisted mostly of families and unaccompanied minors from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Medical screenings done initially showed that some of the migrants had lice and scabies.

“Large groups like these exacerbate the current immigration process further impacting our workforce, facilities, and resources,” Interim Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez said in a press release.

“I commend the incredible work of our Border Patrol Agents who continue to push forward through this border crisis,” she also said.

This, by the way, is the “crisis” that Democrats said some time ago didn’t exist …

Right after President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address in which he discussed the crisis at the border, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) stood beside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to address the nation — and said Trump was working to “manufacture a crisis, stoke fear and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.”

And Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) also said the nation was “not falling” for the “fake crisis” at the border.
