On Tuesday, President Donald Trump called for a “full investigation” into the mysterious suicide of disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell on Saturday.
Trump made this comment when he was asked about the fact that he retweeted a joke video that was spreading a conspiracy linking Epstein’s death to Bill and Hillary Clinton. The president defended himself by pointing out that his attorney general William Barr has opened an investigation.
“Basically what we are saying is we want a full investigation,” Trump said. “I want a full investigation and that is what I am demanding and what our attorney general, our great attorney general is doing a full investigation.”

Objective reporting for the educated American.
This came one day after Barr said that he was “appalled” by Epstein’s suicide, adding that his investigation will get to the bottom of what happened. He also had a brutal message for Epstein’s co-conspirators, letting them know that they are not out of the woods yet.
“This sex trafficking case was very important to the Department of Justice and to me personally,” Barr said. “Let me assure you that this case will continue on against anyone who was complicit with Epstein. Any co-conspirators should not rest easy.”

Epstein was found dead in his New York City prison cell as he awaited trial on numerous sex charges. He had links to many powerful men, including Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, which has led to various conspiracy theories making the rounds about his passing. President Trump himself has admitted to knowing Epstein in the past, albeit not very well.
“I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him,” Trump said. “He was a fixture in Palm Beach. I don’t think I have spoken to him in 15 years.”
A 2015 clip has also surfaced in which Trump predicted that Clinton has “got a lot of problems coming up, in my opinion, with the famous island with Jeffrey Epstein. Lot of problems.”

It will certainly be interesting to see who ends up being implicated as this investigation continues.
