NYC Cops Attacked With Concrete Chunks, Bottles

Mayor Bill de Blasio wants to run the United States as president, but he’s proven that he cannot even run his own city, New York. Cops in New York City were recently attacked by suspects throwing concrete chunks and bottles at them.

According to a report in the New York Post, cops are currently seeking a suspect who hurled a chunk of concrete at officers during a concert in Central Park. Earlier the same day, police arrested another man for hurling bottles at officers.

The incidents occurred on Sunday afternoon, when a massive chunk of concrete smashed into a tree just feet from where cops were standing. There was a large number of people in the area, and at the time police are unsure of the exact individual who threw the chunk. However, a police report was still filed for attempted assault.

Earlier in the day, a 28-year-old punk was arrested after violently chucking bottles at police in the Bronx.

The incidents come as attacks on police are in the rise in New York City.

In late July, a disturbing video showed New York cops being harassed and being drenched with water. Mayor de Blasio was nowhere to be found after the attacks. That would have “never happened” when he was mayor of the city, said Rudy Giuliani, attorney for President Donald Trump, on “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News shortly after the incidents took place. He added, “It’s disgusting, embarrassing. There’s lawlessness around here now.”

These incidents are a terrible example of disrespect, and far worse, toward those who risk their lives for the safety and well being of the public every day.

These men have families, and have one of the toughest jobs in the country. Our cops deserve far better than this, and every single one who was attacked is owed an apology.

“To our friends in New York, if you don’t take care of your cops, shame on you,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), after the water attacks.

In the midst of this weekend’s assault on cops, it is yet to be seen if de Blasio will step in and do anything. We won’t hold our breath.
