President Donald Trump blasted Fox News host Shep Smith on Wednesday after the latter said that the El Paso shooter used the “language of Trump.”
“Watching Fake News CNN is better than watching Shepard Smith, the lowest rated show on Fox News,” Trump tweeted, according to The Hill. “Actually, whenever possible, I turn to [One America News]!”

Objective reporting for the educated American.
Though Trump did not specifically say why he decided to target Smith today, something the host said earlier in his show is thought to be what set the president off.
“An attack that the alleged shooter wrote was in response to a ‘Hispanic invasion of Texas,'” Smith said during his broadcast. “It’s the language of President Trump.”
Uh best guess on what that Shep tweet is about.

Smith has been a frequent critic of Trump on his Fox News show, last month describing his attacks on minority congresswomen as “misleading and xenophobic eruption of distraction and division.” Back in January, Smith also fact-checked Trump’s prime-time address on border security on his show.
Trump has previously gone after Smith as well, describing him as the “lowest rated anchor” back in March and saying that he should be working at CNN.
Were @FoxNews weekend anchors, @ArthelNeville and @LelandVittert, trained by CNN prior to their ratings collapse? In any event, that’s where they should be working, along with their lowest rated anchor, Shepard Smith!

At the end of last year, Smith mocked the president’s strong stance against illegal immigration, claiming that illegal aliens pose no threat to the U.S.
“There is no invasion. No one’s coming to get you. There’s nothing at all to worry about,” he said.
Smith also agreed with Democrats who were saying that border detention facilities were like concentration camps in recent months.

Many Fox News viewers have turned on Smith since Trump took office during his strong stance against the president, yet he has remained on the network all the same.
