Sean Hannity Slams Ilhan Omar For The Way She Treats 9/11

On the 18th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Fox News host Sean Hannity opened his show by blasting Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and the “sickening” media coverage of 9/11, addressing the people he feels are trying to diminish what happened nearly two decades years ago.

“Unfortunately, after 18 years some have forgotten the horror of that fateful day while others sadly may never fully comprehend and understand the magnitude, the gravity, the evil of that day and what took place,” Hannity said.

The Fox News host went on to address Omar and the comments she made at a March fundraiser for CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), describing the 9/11 attacks.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said at the time.

“They were at war with us. We weren’t at war with them,” Hannity said in response on Wednesday.

“We better pay attention,” he continued. “And I hope, by the way, the media mob is listening because some of their 9/11 coverage today was frankly sickening.”

Hannity then addressed a now-deleted tweet by the New York Times describing the events saying, “Eighteen years have passed since airplanes took aim at the World Trade Center and brought them down.”

“Airplanes didn’t aim themselves. Radical Islamic terrorists did this. Airplanes didn’t take down the towers. Radical Islamic terrorists did. Airplanes didn’t kill thousands. Radical Islamic terrorists did,” Hannity said bluntly.

Social media users praised Hannity for his comments, saying that many of them were sickened by the media and Omar as well.

“Sean is right! In everyday life I encounter people who have completely forgotten the attacks, or have just put them far away n their minds. We’re going to get hit again it’s just a matter of time,” one social media user commented.

“Most Americans haven’t even heard the audio of Omar making that statement. It’s the petulant and annoyed tone she used when saying it that made it so disgusting,” another person commented. “It’s pretty much her position that even though thousands of Americans were killed in the name of Islam so what? We still expect and demand our PC status!! Horrible woman, even worse culture.”

Omar herself has yet to respond to Hannity’s comments about her.
