Ivanka Trump Breaks Her Silence About Impeachment Inquiry

Ivanka Trump just broke her silence about Democrats’ efforts to impeach her father in a new interview with Fox Business host Trish Regan.

Fox News [1] reported that Ivanka defiantly said that Democrats’ impeachment inquiry will not get in the way of what is most important to President Donald Trump: fighting to help the American people.

“We have our priorities in the White House,” she said. “We are fighting every day for the American worker. We’re fighting every day to improve the quality of life for every single person in this country and we’re delivering in that fight and on that promise — that’s our priority.”

Ivanka, who is a senior advisor in her father’s White House, went on to talk about the importance of increasing jobs in the United States. On Thursday, Ivanka and Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced a new jobs initiative that is expected to create 250,000 IT-training opportunities.

“For many decades we’ve been told that there’s one path A in America and that’s 4 year university and that path is not available to every American and that path is not right for every American,” Ivanka said.  “So, while I would never denigrate our university ecosystem, it’s the best in the world, we need to celebrate the multiple pathways it exists in America for success. And in this booming economy there are so many.”

This comes one day after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi demanding that she suspend Democrats’ impeachment probe into Trump for the good of the country.

“I am writing to request you suspend all efforts surrounding your ‘impeachment inquiry’ until transparent and equitable rules and procedures are established to govern the inquiry, as is customary,” McCarthy wrote, according to The Washington Examiner [3]. “Unfortunately, you have given no clear indication as to how your impeachment inquiry will proceed — including whether key historical precedents or basic standards of due process will be observed. In addition, the swiftness and recklessness with which you have proceeded has already resulted in committee chairs attempting to limit minority participation in scheduled interviews, calling into question the integrity of such an inquiry.”

McCarthy went on to list a series of demands in the form of questions for Pelosi, saying that should she deny any of them, Pelosi would rob the impeachment process of “any merit of legitimacy.”
