Rand Paul Goes to War With MSNBC Host During Combative Segment

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle doesn’t do much to try and hide her left-wing views; she openly expresses her political biases regularly on her mid-day news show. Republican Senator Rand Paul recently appeared on air with Ruhle, and things quickly became nasty.

Ruhle pressured Paul about the standards President Donald Trump and the GOP are using to initiate investigations into the Biden family.

When Ruhle asked Paul on Tuesday if he agrees that Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani should be investigated for his actions, the senator turned the conversation toward Hunter Biden, saying the son of former Vice President Joe Biden must also be scrutinized for his work with the Burisma gas company in Ukraine. At that point, Ruhle asked Paul if he thinks that Trump’s family should be similarly investigated for their foreign business dealings. [Mediaite [2]]

Rule said, “Does that mean we should be looking deeper how Jared Kushner’s family got foreign money for 666 5th Avenue? How Ivanka Trump got 13 trademarks from the Chinese government, how she was able to expand her brand since the president took office? I mean, giddyup, let’s do it.”

Paul responded by calling her idea the “politics of self-destruction.” He continued, “Both sides are doing that, nobody really should excuse themselves and say ‘we’re holier than thou and Trump is evil’ instead of saying ‘it looks like there’s been a lot of self-dealings throughout history.’ If we want to go down that route and criminalize politics, we can do it, but…shouldn’t we do it fairly?”

Rule asked Paul if he thinks Trump is guilty of asking a foreign leader to investigation Joe Biden, a political opponent. Paul attempted to answer her question but she cut him off and said he was deflecting.

The segment went back and forth, with Rule showing her clear bias as a news anchor.
