Former First Lady Michelle Obama took a thinly-veiled shot at President Donald Trump today when she tweeted her support to climate change activist Greta Thunberg.
Daily Mail reported that though Michelle did not mention Trump by name, it was clear that he was who Michelle was referring to when she told Thunberg to “ignore the doubters.” This came one day after President Trump took to Twitter to say that it was “so ridiculous” that Thunberg was named Time’s Person Of The Year this week.
“Don’t let anyone dim your light. Like the girls I’ve met in Vietnam and all over the world, you have so much to offer us all. Ignore the doubters and know that millions of people are cheering you on,” Michelle tweeted.

Objective reporting for the educated American.
This was a clear response to Trump’s tweet about Thunberg being named by Time Magazine as their Person Of The Year the day before.
“So ridiculous,” Trump wrote. “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”

Thunberg fired back by changing her Twitter bio to read, “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.”
This is a change from the way her Twitter bio normally reads, as it typically says, “16-year-old climate and environmental activist with Asperger’s.”
This isn’t the first time that Trump and Thunberg have gone back and forth. After she gave an impassioned speech to the United Nations back in September, Trump tweeted, “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!'”
Though Michelle never mentions Trump by name, she has been making more digs at him in public over the past few months. In her memoir “Becoming,” she said she would “never forgive” Trump for suggesting that her husband Barack Obama’s birth certificate was fake and that he was not born in the United States.
“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” Michelle wrote, according to Vice. “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.”
