AOC Snubs Fellow Democrat Incumbents by Refusing to Pay Her Party Dues

The Brooklyn bartender turned Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, prefers even harder left-wing candidates then supporting her own party

Fox News reports on Friday that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not making friends and playing well with others in the Dem House caucus.

With Republicans, it’s a natural avocation for the airhead congresswoman and part and parcel of her amazing stupidity, outrageous ineptitude, and political ideology just to the left of the Khmer Rouge.

But you’d think all that stuff would play with the Dems, right. Well, perhaps ideologically. But actual politics in DC is much less about ideology than it is about turf and cash.

On those notes AOC has decided to go on her own far left path.

Specifically, she refuses to kick campaign cash into the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (“D-trip” to DC types), which is responsible for getting Dems elected to the House.

To add insult to injury, she actively solicits and donates to hardcore socialist candidates that are opposing House incumbents in primary battles.

This has not endeared her to the party or to her House cohorts.

One Dem staffer told Fox News, “Deadbeat Cortez should pay her bills. She’s always whining about people paying their fair share and here she is leaving her friends with the bill.”

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) was a bit more gentle, “DCCC dues are about supporting others because you want to be part of the team. The goal is to be in the majority. And the goal is, when you are on a team I would think, to respect individuals whose districts are different than yours.”

And AOC has been no slouch in hauling in the campaign moolah. She just does not want to share.

She must have missed Sharing Day in her relatively recent kindergarten education.

Doing a lot of fundraising with fellow socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), she raised $1.42 million in the third quarter of 2019.

That tops House Dems and she got it out of mostly small donations. The number even beats Dem leadership gnomes like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif) and Big Sis herself, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif). She did more last quarter of 2019, bringing in almost $2 million.

With those funds she funneled thousands in political donations to Dem primary challengers to her own House colleagues.

The money went to the likes of Marie Newman of Illinois, who is taking on Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL) and Jessica Cisneros who wants the seat currently held by Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas).

Not exactly a team player, eh Alexandria?
