After $2T Stimulus, Pelosi Wants Another Stimulus To Address Infrastructure Spending

Our grandchildren's children are going to be swept up by these decisions and will curse the ground we walk on. We need fiscal conservatives to step up and be our voice because of the crap that is in there now.

My God, people are already complaining that the $2 trillion passed in the stimulus isn’t enough.

The money hasn’t even been filtered to the public yet, and people are groaning and moaning. I see they’re not complaining about what this does to the national debt and the risk via entitlements of tanking our economy.

You think COVID-19 (coronavirus) is terrible, wait until there are no businesses left to hire or any organizations and agencies to help millions out of work, just to eat. What should be done is helping companies to get by until we can go back to work…not free checks for everyone. News Flash: it isn’t free, and it will cost double or more in the end.

Nancy Pelosi’s mind is warped. She saw how easy that $2 trillion swept through Congress, so now she wants to work on infrastructure, knowing full well that money won’t see the light of day. Politicians always talk about fixing education and infrastructure during an election, but these items never get fixed.

As Washington considers other steps for responding to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting economic damage, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday said a “Phase 4” package could include “more direct payments” to Americans and spending on infrastructure.

The California Democrat also said she would like to see the next bill feature more money for state and local governments, increased protections for workers, more assistance for hospitals and nursing homes and “more opportunity for family and medical leave.”

“The president said during the campaign and since, infrastructure was a priority for him. So that’s why we believe that in terms of recovery, that’s probably the most bipartisan path that we can take,” Pelosi said on Monday in a conference call with reporters.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, for his part, has questioned whether a fourth response bill is necessary.

“I’m not sure we need a fourth package,” the California Republican told Fox News on Sunday. “Before we go to start drafting a fourth package, I’d like these three packages we just put out — remember, it’s more than $2 trillion, the largest we’ve ever seen — to take care and get this economy moving.” [MarketWatch]

We were warned about the National Debt a few years ago, and I have stayed worried about it since. I didn’t approve of Barack Obama’s $10 trillion that he added, and I don’t agree with the nearly 5-6 trillion added by Pres. Trump. I know something needed to be done, but being down $24 trillion now, there is no life at the end of the tunnel.

Our grandchildren’s children are going to be swept up by these decisions and will curse the ground we walk on.

We need fiscal conservatives to step up and be our voice because of the crap that is in there now.
