Obama Brutally Mocks Trump – Claims He Has ‘Secret Chinese Bank Account’

While campaigning for Joe Biden in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Barack Obama brutally mocked Donald Trump for what he described as the president’s “secret Chinese bank account.”

Deadline reported that Obama said the circumstances surrounding this would be much different if this revelation had been made about him.

“How is that possible? A secret Chinese bank account. Listen, can you imagine if I had had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for re-election?” Obama said. “You think Fox News might have been a little concerned about that? They would have called me Beijing Barry.”

This was Obama’s first in-person appearance on the actual campaign trail for Biden. He had previously appeared virtually at the Democratic National Convention as well as various fundraisers in support of Biden.

The reference to the “secret Chinese bank account” stemmed from a New York Times report alleging that Trump has a bank account in China. Alan Garten, an attorney for the Trump organization, claimed to the Times that Trump’s company had opened the account in China to pay local taxes there and to pursue business opportunities in the nation.

“No deals, transactions or other business activities ever materialized and, since 2015, the office has remained inactive,” Garten said. “Though the bank account remains open, it has never been used for any other purpose.”

Obama held nothing back as he blasted his successor on Wednesday at the socially distanced rally.

“There are consequences to these actions. They embolden other people to be cruel and divisive and racist and it frays the fabric of our society,” Obama said. “I get this president wants full credit for the economy he inherited, and zero blame for the pandemic he ignored. You know what? The job doesn’t work that way. Tweeting at the television doesn’t fix things.”

Obama even jabbed Trump by mocking him for his television ratings, something that the current president has often referenced in attacks on others.

“By the way, his TV ratings are down,” the former president said. “So you know that upsets him, but the thing is, this is not a reality show. This is reality. And the rest of us have had to live with the consequences of him proving himself incapable of taking the job seriously.”

Obama reportedly plans to campaign heavily for Biden, who is his former Vice President, in the two weeks before the election. It remains to be seen how that will work out for him.
