Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Olivia Jade Launches Her “Comeback” After Mom’s Release From Prison

Earlier this week, we reported [1] that former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin had been released from prison after serving two months for her role in the college admissions scandal. Her 21 year-old daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli, who had been a popular social media beauty influencer with millions of followers before this scandal broke, appears to now be launching her comeback on YouTube.

“Like this if I should bring back my #vlogzzzzz,” Olivia Jade said in a TikTok video [2] on Tuesday. “Also tried to show u guys this natural makeup look (I can do a tutorial if anyone wants) Kk bye… ily.”

“Please post again on YouTube I love watching your videos!!!” one fan commented, to which Olivia Jade said, “OK. I will. I guess I will come back to YouTube. What? Ah!”

Loughlin served two months in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to her paying $500,000 in bribe money to have her two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before. Her husband and Olivia Jade’s father, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, is currently serving five months in prison for his role in the same crime.

“I made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process and in doing so I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass,” Loughlin said during her sentencing. “I have great faith in God, and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good.”

A source told People Magazine [3] that Loughlin went directly to meet her daughters, Olivia Jade and her sister Isabella, for an emotional reunion after her release.

“It’s the end of a very long ordeal,” the source said, adding that Loughlin is “beyond relieved that she can put her prison sentence behind her.”

“It’s the most stressful thing she has ever dealt with,” the insider said. “She plans on spending New Year’s with Olivia and Bella.”

Olivia Jade opened up about her parents’ crimes in an interview earlier this month.

“It’s been hard, I think, for anybody,” she admitted. “No matter what the situation is, you don’t want to see your parents go to prison. But I think it’s necessary for us to move on and move forward.”

“I think that what hasn’t been super public is that there is no justifying or excusing what happened because what happened was wrong,” Olivia added. “And I think every single person in my family can be like, ‘That was messed up. That was a big mistake.’ But I think what’s so important to me is to learn from the mistake, not to now be shamed and punished and never given a second chance because I’m 21. I feel like I deserve a second chance to redeem myself, to show I’ve grown.”
