Fox News’ Bill Hemmer and Fauci Get into Heated Exchange

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s highest-paid federal employee, appeared on Fox News recently and got into a heated exchange with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer. Hemmer confronted Fauci about his negative comments about former President Donald Trump.

During an interview with the New York Times, Fauci indicated he prefers working for the Joe Biden administration because he now feels free from the pressures of the Trump administration. He additionally slammed the Trump administration for a lack of adherence to science, and what he claimed was dishonesty about the coronavirus.

On America’s Newsroom, Hemmer observed, “It seems like there is an aggressiveness toward the Trump administration.”

He continued, “Why do you even feel the obligation to answer these questions? And by the way, when you were at the White House, no one prevented you from talking, did they?”

Fauci responded, “That’s why I got into trouble.”

Hemmer asked, “What do you mean?”

“It wasn’t happy about some of the things I said,” Fauci said. “Here again, we get into rehashing it again. I think we should do what Dana [Perino] suggested, namely put that behind us and take a look at the problems we have ahead.”

After the testy exchange, Hammer moved on to address the Biden administration’s decision to reenter the World Health Organization. Then Hemmer asked Fauci if he believed COVID-19 emerged naturally or was the result of a laboratory.
