Brave Reporter Confronts Biden Press Secretary About Border Crisis

OPINION: America is slowly slipping into chaos as the Democrats prove time and time again they haven’t the slightest clue how to run, let alone protect, the country or its people. Not only are many Americans still fighting COVID-19, but now there is a silent crisis waging at the border as thousands of unaccompanied minors are being detained. As for President Biden, he remains to be seen or heard as he has yet to address the public, leaving his Press Secretary Jen Psaki to answer on his behalf.

On Tuesday, Psaki was handling her normal round of questions when Canadian journalist Richard Latendresse decided to confront her about the growing situation at the border. According to immigration officials, there are estimated to be over 100,000 unaccompanied children trying to cross the border this year alone. And with thousands already at the border, the Biden Administration has been accused of placing them in cages, very much similar to a jail cell.

Trying her best to sidestep the growing crisis, Psaki fell back on her usual rhetoric of how migrants “need to understand they’re not going to be able to come into the United States immediately.” This has been the stance the Biden Administration has taken since the first reports of the border situation became public, but they have yet to give a timeframe of when the border will open.

Not satisfied with her answer, Latendresse pushed the issue again asking, “You keep repeating, ‘This is not the time to come.’ Isn’t that sending the signal that there will be a time to come? ‘Just wait.'”

Unable to run and hide like President Biden, Psaki decided to pass the blame back to the Trump Administration as she said, “When we say, It’s not the time to come now, the reason is: This is a— we are still digging our way out of a dismantled, immoral, and ineffective immigration policy that was being implemented by the last administration that was largely based around funding for a border wall. It’s going to take us some time.

And we do want to put in place — modernize the immigration system, which means investing in smart security, which means creating a pathway to citizenship, which means funding and supporting efforts to address the root causes in the region. And we — as a part of that, we want to ensure that there is effective processing at the border.”

While great in theory, the Democrats haven’t even acknowledged the situation at the border is even a crisis. They remain hopeful that they can continue to blame Trump and his administration for their growing failures. But how long can they keep this up before our borders and country are completely overrun?
