Meghan Markle Is Called Out For Her ‘Downright Lies’ By Piers Morgan

The British television personality Piers Morgan attacked Meghan Markle once again for what he described as her “downright lies” in an interview with Australia’s “60 Minutes” that is set to air on Sunday.

“I don’t believe a word she says,” Morgan told journalist Karl Stefanovic a sneak peek at Sunday’s episode, according to Daily Mail. In the episode, Morgan discusses cancel culture and his ongoing war with Meghan.

Referring to Meghan’s debunked claim that she and Harry were secretly married three days before their televised ceremony, Morgan said, “They were downright lies. I don’t believe a word she says. That [ceremony] would make the Archbishop of Canterbury a criminal.”

Stefanovic had attacked Morgan in 2018 over comments he made accusing Meghan of just acting like she was in love with Harry.

“I’ve got something to say about that,” Stefanovic said at the time. “I think that’s disgraceful. I think she is an amazing, amazing woman. I think she is doing her very best at the moment, and she’s got a lot on her plate. She’s doing it so beautifully – she’s such a great export for Great Britain.”

Referring to Morgan, he added “I mean, what is that guy on? He’s lost the plot completely.”

“I don’t know how his poor co-host puts up with it. Imagine putting up with a dude like that who is so up himself and so egotistical that he would assume to say those things about her,” Stefanovic continued. “It’s disgusting. You wouldn’t put up with it. He needs to go. He’s off the mark here.”

During their interview on Sunday, Stefanovic told Morgan to his face that he’s “just an angry old man,” which made the British television personality laugh.

“Freedom of speech is actually more important than the Meghan Markle debacle,” he said. “Who are these ‘woke’ people marching around like they are Kim Jong-un with a dash of Vladimir Putin. Come on everybody, take a chill pill.”

“Are you going to take one?” Stefanovic fired back.

Morgan and Meghan have long had a contentious relationship, as he’s been a critic of hers for years. He even walked away from his longtime gig hosting “Good Morning Britain” rather than apologize to her on air for criticizing her interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March.
