We previously reported that Prince Harry had announced that he is writing a new memoir about his life that he warned will be “wholly truthful.” Now, experts are saying that Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family are “in despair” over the book, as they are assuming Harry will use it to attack them.
The Express reported that royal experts say that Harry’s book is a “moneymaking exercise at the expense of his blood family,” adding that it will be “a book by Harry, as written by Meghan.”
“They will be in despair that Harry – doubtless prompted by Meghan – just won’t leave it alone for a while,” said royal biographer Phil Dampier. “His family will be bracing themselves for more criticism, more ‘poor me’ introspection and more excuses to justify his decision to quit royal life.”
Harry reportedly didn’t tell anyone in his family that he was writing a memoir, as he does not feel that he needed the Queen’s permission to do so. He refused to tell his family despite the fact that he only just saw them at the unveiling of a statue dedicated to his late mother Princess Diana earlier this month.

Harry shocked the world when he revealed that he had written a memoir yesterday.
“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” Harry said, according to Us Weekly.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think,” he continued. “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
The book will be released through Penguin Random House sometime in 2022.
“All of us at Penguin Random House are thrilled to publish Prince Harry’s literary memoir and have him join the world-renowned leaders, icons, and change-makers we have been privileged to publish over the years,” said Markus Dohle, the CEO of PRH.
“Prince Harry has harnessed his extraordinary life experience as a prince, a soldier, and a knowledgeable advocate for social issues, establishing himself as a global leader recognized for his courage and openness,” he continued. “It is for that reason we’re excited to publish his honest and moving story.”
Given the fact that Harry has bashed the royal family repeatedly in interviews over the past few months, they are probably right in feeling that they need to brace themselves for more attacks in this book.
