Melania Trump Opens Up About ‘Very Special’ Son Barron

The former First Lady Melania Trump reportedly once spoke out to describe her 15 year-old son Barron as a “very strong-minded, very special boy.”

“He is independent and opinionated and knows exactly what he wants,” Melania said, according to The Sun.

Barron, who “wanted to be like daddy” from the time he was 5 years-old, also remembers “everything” he sees when he travels. He also loves to build things and pays great attention to detail when he draws.

In the wake of his father leaving office, Barron has enrolled at Oxbridge Academy, a $34,800-a-year private Palm Beach academy near Mar-a-Lago. The school has confirmed that Barron will be graduating with the class of 2024.

“We look forward to welcoming him into our school and community,” the school’s Director of Advancement Scott Siegfried said, according to People Magazine.

The school has also warned parents that the Secret Service will now have a presence on the 54-acre campus.

“They want to have little impact on our day-to-day operations,” the school said of the Secret Service in an email to parents. “They’ve done this for other former presidents’ kids. They’re fantastic.”

Melania said in 2018 that Barron is “all into sports,” and he was often seen wearing an Arsenal Football Club shirt on the White House front lawn. The teenager has played with the Arlington Soccer Association’s under-14 and DC United under-12 teams.

Barron stands at an astounding 6 foot 7 inches, making him the tallest of former President Donald Trump’s children. In October of last year, Trump stated that Barron had COVID-19 for “like two seconds” as he made the point that the pandemic should not stop children from going to school.

“Barron Trump you know he had the corona 19, the China virus. It’s got 20 different names, but to me Corona means Italy,” Trump said at a rally in Iowa. “And he had it for such a short period of time, I don’t even think he knew he had it…because they’re young and their immune systems are strong and they fight it off.”

Melania agreed, saying that Barron is “a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms.”
