Border “Czar” Kamala Harris Doesn’t Attend Border Security Meeting in Mexico

It's ok though...she was getting a photo op with kids in a New Jersey daycare.

MEXICAN BORDER – Last Friday, top officials traveled to the border to speak about security issues at the Mexican/United States border. Noticeably missing was Joe Biden’s appointed “Border Czar,” Vice President Kamala Harris.

The group met in Mexico’s capital city. In attendance were Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, and former Colorado Senator and current US ambassador to Mexico Ken Salazar.

So where was Kamala?

She went to a daycare inside Montclair State University in New Jersey, where she was “learning numbers,” she said in a tweet.

She also graced a vaccination site at Essex County Community College with her presence.

“Today’s High-Level Security Dialogue marks an important new phase in the US-Mexico security partnership,” Mayorkas said in a tweet on Friday. “We will work together under a new framework to guide our joint efforts, and work toward our shared goals of security and prosperity for our two nations.”

The important new phase apparently doesn’t include the head person assigned to ensure security at our border. She received much backlash for months after being dubbed “czar” of the border by Biden in March, and finally visited for several hours in El Paso.

She hasn’t been back to the area since.

Harris’ people say that her job doesn’t entail actually going to the border, but rather she focuses on helping solve the “root causes” of people fleeing to America by the thousands.
