Tensions Among House GOP Grow As Feud Between Reps. Boebert And Omar Hits Breaking Point

Tensions are brewing within the GOP

Although the American government has more than enough on their agenda, it appears that a verbal fight has caused tensions within the House as Representative Lauren Boebert from Colorado and Ilhan Omar, the Democrat from Minnesota, got into a shouting match.

The feud between the two started when Boebert made a joke that a Capitol Police officer was concerned that Omar was potentially a terrorist. Boebert jokingly added,“[Omar] doesn’t have a backpack,” so “we should be fine.” The backlash that followed has been outrageously inflated as there are calls for the Representative to be censured and removed, even from fellow Republicans.

Claiming that Boebert’s comments were Islamophobic, House Democrats have pressured Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to discipline her even after she apologized for her comments. But even after apologizing for a simple joke, apparently, Omar hung up on her while they spoke.

On top of the Democrats calling for action, South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace, a RINO, jumped at the chance to go on CNN and blast Boebert for her comments that she already apologized for, but that isn’t enough.

Mace said, “I have time after time condemned my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for racist tropes and remarks that I find disgusting and this is no different than any others. We have a responsibility to lower the temperature, and this does not do that.”

And when asked if she condemned Boebert’s comments, Mace replied, “Oh absolutely, 100%.”

While CNN might have found the only Republican to speak to them, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene jumped on Twitter to criticize Mace and support Boebert. She tweeted, “Mace you can back up off of [Boebert] or just go hang with your real gal pals, the Jihad Squad. Your [sic] out of your league.”

Living on Twitter, Mace quickly responded, being sure to point out the errors in Greene’s grammar.
