Air Force Goes Full “Woke”: Ted Cruz’s Response Is Perfect

What is happening to our military?

The United States Air Force went full “woke” this month by authorizing the use of gender-neutral and gender-specific pronouns in email signature boxes.

In a memo sent out on December 9, the Air Force authorized for emails to end with he/him, she/her and they/them.

“This guidance provides approval for the use of pronouns in electronic signature blocks and expands on written communication by providing official templates posted on e-publishing website available for download,” the memo read, according to Daily Mail. “The use of pronouns (he/him, she/her, or they/them) in an email signature block is authorized but not required.”

“An inclusive force is a mission-ready force, and I’m thankful to the LGBTQ Initiatives Team for helping us realize this opportunity to be a more inclusive force,” said Under Secretary of the Air Force Gina Ortiz Jones.

This move was reportedly called for by the LGBTQ Initiatives Team, or LIT, a part of the Department of the Air Force Barrier Analysis Working Group.

“The change request was driven by awareness of a restrictive policy that was being used against transgender Airmen and Guardians who were authentically representing themselves,” said Lt. Col. Bree Fram, a LIT Transgender Policy Team co-lead. “It was also important for many individuals often confused as being a different gender in their communications.”

The Air Force declined to comment when contacted for further explanation on this.

This comes months after the State Department surprised many by celebrating International Pronouns Day.

“Today on International Pronouns Day, we share why many people list pronouns on their email and social media profiles,” the State Department wrote on Twitter.

Back in May, the CIA released a recruitment video featuring a recruit described who herself as an “intersectional cisgender millennial.”

In the video, Corporal Emma Malonelord described being raised by two mothers as the animated footage depicts her life from childhood to when she joined the Army as a Patriot Missile operator.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted the video, lamenting what he described as an “emasculated military.”

“The job of the military is to kill the bad guys. And it is to strike fear in the enemies of America,” he said. “People sign up to join the military because they want to keep us safe, they don’t want to sit around a circle, emoting and passing daisies back and forth.”

Wokeness is making its way into virtually every institution in this country, from the military to schools. It remains to be seen how that will impact America moving forwards.
