When you’re part of a ruthless and despotic political party who doesn’t want separation of powers and is on the march to rule over an entire country with no pushback, what is a tyrannical leftist to do?
Well, getting rid of the filibuster is definitely at the top of your list.
The democrats are getting really ticked off that some of their racist, socialist, fascist, communist and crappy legislation isn’t swiftly passing through congress and they really need to get all of their “voting rights” bills (vote cheating rights) through ASAP.
They need to be able to cement election fraud and cheating into legislation so it’s virtually impossible for them to lose another election.
Objective reporting for the educated American.
They don’t want voter ID, they want insecure ballot drop-off locations, same day voter registration, unlimited no-reason mail-in ballots, letting ex-felons vote, and many other things so they won’t lose any more elections.
They even want the states, who are constitutionally in control of elections, to get a “pre-clearance” from the federal government’s Department of Justice to change voting rules.
With Build Back Better legislation stalled and bleak prospects of keeping the majority in the House and Senate in November, getting their voting crap-sandwiches pushed through by getting rid of the filibuster is an important goal for them.
And because democrat West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is a fly in their ointment on many things including him not being supportive of getting rid of the filibuster, the big cheeses have come out to harass and intimidate Manchin.
It has been reported by Politico that Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey have all made calls to Manchin so he’ll sign up to get rid of the filibuster – or at least temporarily to get the voting legislation through congress.
Calls are flying fast and furious because Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has placed a deadline of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 17th, as when he wants to pursue a “nuclear option” to bypass the filibuster if ten republicans can’t be found to sign onto their vote cheating bills.
To market the vote cheating bills, Schumer and other democrats have been using January 6th (no surprise) to push their racist, unconstitutional and partisan voting legislation.
Schumer sent a letter to other senators that said, “Much like the violent insurrectionists who stormed the US Capitol nearly one year ago, republican officials in states across the country have seized on the former president’s ‘Big Lie’ about widespread voter fraud to enact ant-democratic legislation.”
That would be anti-cheating legislation, Chuckie.
It’s called voter integrity.
Schumer, who is the ultimate hypocrite on everything, said this about the republicans using the nuclear option to get judicial appointments confirmed in the past, “The majority, by taking yet another step to erode that legacy, risks turning this body into a colosseum of zero-sum infighting, a place where the brute power of the majority ultimately rules.”
The democrats, who don’t even have a majority in the Senate without VP Harris, definitely want to use brute power to rule because they don’t want anything close to fair elections. So they are pulling out all the stops to make sure fair elections don’t happen, including putting even more pressure on Manchin to cave.
President Biden, of course, is all on board with this plan because he’s a big proponent of lying and cheating as we all know.
He has said, “If the only thing standing between getting voting rights legislation passed a not getting passed is the filibuster, I support making the exception of voting rights for the filibuster.”
If the democrats have to cheat (get rid of the filibuster) to cheat (win elections), yes, President Disaster is totally on board with that.
