Kyle Rittenhouse Suing LeBron James for Defamation

Kyle Rittenhouse had earlier announced that he had planned on suing several entertainers and politicians for their public attacks on him after his acquittal. He specifically mentioned Whoopi Goldberg by name as one of his targets.

This week, during an interview with the Frontlines podcast, Rittenhouse announced that he is also making plans to sue basketball star LeBron James for his attacks on social media.

Late last year, the NBA star mocked the 18-year old for crying on the stand while testifying during his murder trial. Rittenhouse was acquitted of murder in that case. The court ruled that he acted in self-defense when he was attacked during the riots in Kenosha Wisconsin.

LeBron James took to Twitter, saying of Rittenhouse, “What tears? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court.”

During his podcast interview, Kyle told host Drew Hernandez that LeBron James will be getting a letter from his attorney letting him know that he is being sued for defamation.

Rittenhouse added that there will be a series of lawsuits against every member of the entertainment industry who made fun of him, attacked him, and called him a murderer during his trial.

“Anybody who defamed me, or lied about me, we’re just gonna send them a letter and then deal with them in a courtroom.”

James stirred controversy with other tweets last year as well. After the shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant who was killed in Columbus, Ohio after she attacked people with a knife, James tweeted a threat to white police officers. His text stated “You’re Next.” He later deleted that tweet.
