Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) released a statement today claiming that President Joe Biden has “failed at practically every aspect of his job.”

Ouch. That hurts. But is the Florida Senator really wrong?

“Joe Biden’s been in office a little over a year and has failed at practically every aspect of his job,” said Scott. “The border is broken. Our national security is at risk. Gas prices are the highest they have ever been and prices on everything from food to cars are skyrocketing to generational highs.”

“What’s Biden and the Democrats’ answer? A $1.5 TRILLION spending bill that doesn’t balance the budget, doesn’t reduce the debt, hasn’t been scored by the Congressional Budget Office and we have NO IDEA what impact it will have on inflation,” he continued.

Sen. Scott, the National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman, said there is a desperate need for substantive fiscal reforms in light of the soaring budget deficit and staggering high inflation rates not seen in decades.

The Department of Labor just announced that the consumer price index rose at an annual rate of 7.5 percent in January. The index rose 0.8 percent over the last month alone, reflecting a 7.9 percent increase over the last year. This is the highest rate in four decades.

And the rate of inflation is not only rising, but the rate at which it is rising is accelerating.

Scott continued, “Reckless government spending causes inflation, and America’s hardest working and poorest families, like mine growing up, cannot afford nearly three more years of radical policy and harmful ignorance from this president. Americans deserve better.”

The Senator is right. America’s richest can easily afford higher prices at the pump. But the rest of America, especially America’s working poor, cannot.

On Monday, Late Show host Stephen Colbert commented on his show that he would “happily pay higher gas prices,” showing the world how completely out-of-touch these rich liberals are from the rest of America.

“Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4 per gallon,” Colbert said. “OK, that stings, but a clean conscience is worth a buck or two. It’s important. I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon, because I drive a Tesla.”

The talk show host earns $15 million per year from CBS and has a net worth of $100 million. Those kinds of comments are typical of today’s conceited, entitled, out-of-touch liberals.

Sen. Scott’s comments were brutal. But they were spot on, and most of America knows it.
