The main focus of the Disinformation Governance Board will allegedly be to stop propaganda coming from Russia. That isn’t all as they will also hope to silence misinformation surrounding the ongoing Southern border crisis. The board appears to be focused on problems plaguing the Biden administration. But Republican Representative Lauren Boebert has already taken steps to defund the whole agenda. 

Rep. Boebert explained, “first of all, who the hell does Mayorkas think he is? He’s lied to the American people about the border being closed. He lied about how many Haitians were crossing our border. He’s lied about our great Border Patrol agents. And now he’s the one starting this Orwellian Ministry of Truth. I will be introducing the Protecting Free Speech act, which will defund this proposed department and prohibit any spin-off that these scoundrels may try to create. Congress has the power of the purse, and it is our duty to shut down this department.

No taxpayer dollars should be used so Biden can abuse the power of the federal government to silence truthful stories like big tech did when the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story broke.”

While Boebert might view the new board as just another power grab, hoping to strip freedoms away from Americans, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had this to say. “The first bullet was about protecting privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties and the First Amendment. They said the primary mission is to establish best practices to ensure that efforts to understand and respond to disinformation are done in ways that protect privacy and to understand how misinformation is spread by human smugglers. There’s no question everybody has bipartisan support for that, to address disinformation that’s helping smugglers.”

Completely stunned by their reasoning, Boebert proclaimed, “We’re up to almost 3 million illegal immigrants who have come into our country and they’re doing nothing to slow them down. But we know that Biden and his regime lie constantly. So the hypocrisy isn’t anything new. And we can’t just shame these tyrants. They must be held accountable. What the American people want is for those trying to take our rights away, trying to trample the Constitution, and silence our voices to pay the price. This could not go unaddressed. And that’s why I’m calling on House leadership and others to not only join me in efforts to defund this program or any program that would seek to police free speech.”

God bless Rep. Lauren Boebert. And let’s hope there are enough other rational members of Congress left to destroy this despicable proposed “Ministry of Truth”.
