Kid Rock Doubles Down On Cursing Out Oprah And Joy Behar

"I don't apologize to anybody."

The singer Kid Rock has doubled down on profanity-laced comments that he made back in 2019 while intoxicated at his Nashville honky-tonk.

“A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts, I own what I said,” Kid Rock told Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f—in’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f— Oprah…” he continued.

Entertainment Weekly reported that in a 2019 clip that was released by TMZ, Kid Rock could be seen saying “f— Oprah Winfrey and f— Joy Behar” onstage. He explained to Carlson that his real target at the time had actually been the comedian Kathy Griffin.

“I was trying to go after Kathy Griffin you know, for holding up Trump’s head, but I’m so out of it I’m like ‘f— Kathie Lee Gifford,'” he said. “When it comes back on TMZ or whatever a few weeks later I’m like ‘oh man, I like Kathie Lee Gifford.’ We’ve been kind of friendly throughout the years…now I feel a little bad.”

Kid Rock has long been known as one of the few celebrities who is openly conservative, and he frequently has praised former President Donald Trump.

“We ended up becoming buddies,” Kid Rock said of Trump earlier this year, accordion to The Los Angeles Times. “Spend a lot of time [together] at the golf course now. It’s really weird to get phone calls from him and stuff. It’s kind of mind-blowing.”

Kid Rock went on to say that spending time with Trump is “awesome. So much fun. He just knows how to have fun. Doesn’t take it too seriously. He’s engaging.”

He also said that Trump is “a little different” after losing the 2020 election.

“He sits down, he just cuts it up,” the singer said. “Just starts cutting it up. It’s just how sharp he is. It’s incredible.”

Trump helped kick off Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” tour with a video message back in April.

“Hello, everyone. I love you all. I know you’re having a great time at the Kid Rock concert tonight,” Trump said as the crowd cheered, according to The New York Post. “Quite frankly, he’s amazing. All of you in attendance are truly the backbone of our great country. Hard-working, God-fearing rock-and-roll patriots.”

Trump then said that Kid Rock “is truly one of the greatest entertainers of our time. Not the best golfer by any means, his golf game could use a little work, but a great, great entertainer, and that’s why you’re there.”

“Let’s all continue to love one another, fight for our God-given freedoms, and most of all, let’s make America rock again,” he concluded as he put on a red MAGA-style hat that reads “Make America Rock Again.”

Since Oprah and Behar are no fans of Trump’s, it’s no surprise that Kid Rock doesn’t like them.
