Newt Gingrich Rips Into Biden As The ‘Second-Worst President’ In American History

The former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is blasting Joe Biden this week, going so far as to label him the “second-worst president” in American history.

“I think it’s not fair to say that he’s the worst president,” Gingrich said while appearing on Fox News [1]. “I think Buchanan, who got us into the Civil War, still has that title. But it would be fair to say that Biden may be the second-worst president in American history, at least in terms of his destructive effect.”

“You know, my wife … went out Saturday, filled up her car, came home in a state of shock,” he added. “She paid $104.50 to fill up her car. Now, I don’t care how often Joe Biden goes on comedy shows, and I understand he’ll be on a comedy show Wednesday night.”

Gingrich was referring to the fact that Biden is set to be interviewed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday evening.

“First of all, it’s not funny when you can’t find infant formula and you can’t pay for gas and you can’t afford food and crime’s going up in your city,” Gingrich concluded. “But second, that’s the real world the White House doesn’t understand. You know, you’re not eating in the White House mess and you don’t have Air Force One taking you somewhere. The world’s gotten to be very expensive and very dangerous. And Biden seems to have no clue about what’s going on around him.”

Earlier in the day, Gingrich called out Biden for his “incompetence” during another Fox News [2] appearance.

“I think people are looking at all of this stuff together, not any one thing, the cultural war, the economic disaster, the foreign policy mistakes, and frankly, President Biden’s personal incompetence,” he said.

“I mean, you watch him for a while, and you cringe to think that this is the commander in chief, the President of the United States, and it’s clear at times that he’s just out to lunch,” Gingrich added. “He doesn’t have any idea what he’s doing.”

Biden’s interview with Kimmel is set to be [3] his first sit-down interview in 118 days, with it being his first one since he was interviewed by Lester Holt on February 10. He was previously interviewed by Kimmel in 2019, before he secured the Democratic presidential nomination.

With inflation being through the roof and gas prices soaring, Biden is more unpopular than ever. While the liberal Kimmel will undoubtedly be fawning over him, it’s clear that most Americans agree with Gingrich’s assessment of the president.
