Trump Turns On Ivanka After She Says 2020 Election Was Not Stolen

The former President Donald Trump has turned on his own daughter Ivanka after she told the January 6 committee that she did not believe that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Daily Mail [1] reported that in a clip played during last night’s primetime hearing, Ivanka backed up Trump Attorney General Bill Barr after he said the election was not stolen from her dad.

“I respect Attorney General Barr. So I accepted what he said — was saying,” she said.

The former President Trump fired back on Friday by saying that Ivanka was “not involved in looking” at the results of the election.

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” Trump said in a statement. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he sucked).”

This came as somewhat of a shock, given the fact that Trump has always been close to his daughter, and she has long been seen as his favorite of his five children. Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner were two of his most important White House advisors during his presidency.

Trump also issued another statement bashing Barr.

“Bill Barr was a weak and frightened Attorney General who was always being ‘played’ and threatened by the Democrats and was scared stiff of being Impeached,” Trump said, according to Yahoo News [4]. “How do you not get impeached? Do nothing, or say nothing, especially about the obviously RIGGED & STOLEN Election.”

“The Democrats hit pay dirt with Barr,” he continued. “He was stupid, ridiculously said there was no problem with the Election, & they left him alone.”

Trump later added that Barr is a “coward” who had refused to investigate his claims of “rampant” fraud in Philadelphia. He additionally hit back against Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the committee’s vice chair, for claiming that when Trump heard of his supporters chanting “Hang Mike Pence!” he said, “Maybe our supporters have the right idea” because Pence “deserves” it.

“I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, ‘Hang Mike Pence,’” Trump wrote. “This is either a made up story somebody looking to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!”

Many feel that this committee is a complete sham, as the only people on it are Democrats and two Never Trump Republicans (Cheney and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). Those who feel this way feel that the point of these hearings is only to shame the millions of Americans who voted for Trump.
