Ghislaine Maxwell Moved To Florida Prison – Can Join Inmate Talent Show And Teach Yoga

Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has been moved to a prison in Florida to serve out her 20 year sentence after being convicted for sex trafficking charges. At this prison, she will be able to do things like teach yoga, watch movies, and even participate in an inmate talent show.

Daily Mail [1] reported that Maxwell, 60, has been moved to FCI Tallahassee, a low-security prison in Florida that is located near where the disgraced former British socialite committed her alleged crimes. She will not be eligible for parole until July 17, 2037, according to the Bureau of Prisons.

This transfer has likely come as great news for Maxwell, as she has often complained about her treatment at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where she has been held since her July 2020 arrest. Her new prison has a population of 755 inmates and only houses women. The prison handbook states that she will be woken up at 6am every day and be issued an inmate identification card that she must have on her at all times.

Daily activities are announced over a loudspeaker, and they include exercise sessions and work periods. Each inmate shares a cell with another prisoner, and staffers can search inmates’ cells at any time for contraband or stolen property. The only approved items for inmate uniforms are khaki pants, khaki shirt, underwear, bra, socks, and authorized shoes. Inmates can also wear khaki dresses if they choose to do so.

Maxwell had begun teaching yoga to her fellow inmates at her previous facility, so it is likely that she will do so again at this prison. Inmates at FCI Tallahassee can also take part in pilates, weights, softball, flag football and frisbee. Maxwell will even have the opportunity to entertain herself by watching movies or participating in the prison talent show.

As someone who has long been known as a jogger, Maxwell was undoubtedly happy to see that her new prison has a track that she can work out on. She will additionally be able to keep learning Russian, which she had started studying to occupy herself in her Brooklyn prison, in the recreational library.

If she wants to take up an apprenticeship in prison, Maxwell could become an electrician, baker, horticulturist and plumber. Cosmetology is another trade that inmates at FCI Tallahassee, with massage being included in this. Maxwell had been accused of participating in Epstein’s alleged sexual massages of underage girls during her time with him.

Epstein allegedly committed suicide in prison back in August of 2019 while awaiting trial on sex crime charges of his own. During her sentencing last month, Maxwell said that she regretted ever having met him.

“I realize I have been convicted of assisting Jeffrey Epstein to commit these crimes,” she said. “My association with Epstein will permanently stain me. It is the biggest regret of my life that I ever met him.”

Maxwell went on to say that Epstein “fooled all of those in his orbit,” adding that she was a victim of this herself.

By the time she is eligible for parole, Maxwell will be 75 years-old.
