Liberal Billionaire Jeff Bezos Savages Biden On Economy

Bezos is having buyer's remorse.

Writer Joe Concha and Amazon chief Jeff Bezos condemn the Biden administration for mishandling the economy.

Concha: “85% of voters don’t like the direction of the country. I’d love to do some keg stands over the weekend with those 15% who think that things are going in the right direction. Who are these people? But seriously, you see, now the press is turning on Mr. Biden, I keep reading, you know, that should have happened the minute he actually tried to sell the country on this notion that if you spend trillions upon trillions of additional dollars on top of the trillions we already have and you flood the system. Somehow he made this argument that that will lower inflation and the deficit. And Brian Deese, who somehow is the chief economic advisor to the President of the United States, he said the quiet part out loud. Right, that this is all intentional, the attempted transitioning of this economy and energy policy to the new liberal world order. It sounds like something out of the Star Wars Senate. I guess that’s the plan.”

Biden: “My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product,” Biden said Saturday morning. Bezos responded.

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this,” Bezos said Saturday evening.

“It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics,” Bezos added. “They understandably want to muddy the topic,” Bezos also tweeted in May. “They know inflation hurts the neediest the most. But unions aren’t causing inflation and neither are wealthy people.”

“Remember the Administration tried their best to add another $3.5 TRILLION to federal spending. They failed, but if they had succeeded, inflation would be even higher than it is today, and inflation today is at a 40-year high,” he also stated.

“In fact, the administration tried hard to inject even more stimulus into an already over-heated, inflationary economy and only Manchin saved them from themselves,” Bezos said on Twitter recently. “Inflation is a regressive tax that most hurts the least affluent. Misdirection doesn’t help the country.”

Comedian Tim Young called Biden’s tweet “complete bs…Gas stations don’t control what they ultimately can charge,” he added. “People aren’t this stupid.”

“The President’s actions to date have not reduced deficits but instead increased them,” the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget wrote. “Between the American Rescue Plan, the bipartisan infrastructure law, and various executive orders, we estimate at least $2.5 trillion has been added to deficits through 2031 over the President’s term so far.”
