Former Democrat megadonor John Morgan delivered a sharp critique of Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, calling her lack of talent and failure to connect with voters a significant liability for the Biden-Harris ticket.
In a recent interview, Morgan expressed his frustration with Harris’s performance, particularly highlighting her attempt to mimic former President Barack Obama. “My reaction is, you know, she thinks she’s Obama. She goes to Hawaii because Obama goes to Hawaii. She started talking like Obama, imitating Obama,” Morgan stated. “She is not Barack Obama. She has no talent.”
Morgan also pointed out Harris’s disastrous results in the 2024 primary race, where she received zero delegates and only 8% of the vote in her home state of California. “She ran once and got zero delegates. She got 8% of California. I begged them not to put her up,” Morgan continued. “She was going to be tethered to Biden no matter what, that was a zero sum game for her, but she thought that all these votes were for her. They were not the votes that she got where people voted against Trump, and the votes that Trump got were the people voting for Trump.”

He emphasized that Harris’s failure in the campaign revealed her inability to effectively manage a political operation. “If you can’t run your campaign, you damn sure can’t run the country,” Morgan added.
The Harris campaign’s inability to reach the right audience was further underscored by their refusal to appear on influential platforms, such as Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Morgan pointed out the contrast between Harris’s approach and that of Donald Trump Jr., who made appearances on podcasts to effectively engage with a wider base of voters.
“What the Harris campaign should have done instead of avoiding Joe Rogan and podcasts,” Morgan said, “It turns out that Barron Trump, who looks like the runway model, was telling his father, you need to go on podcast. You need to go on Joe Rogan. You know, he was three hours late to a rally because he was doing Joe Rogan, because that was so important.”
Morgan expressed admiration for Barron’s strategic use of such platforms, stating, “Barron Trump is a lot smarter than everybody in the Harris camp. They said they didn’t go on Joe Rogan, the progressives around her, you heard what Carl said. The progressives didn’t want to go on Joe Rogan. Look, if I’m running, I’m going on Joe Rogan, I’m living on Fox. That’s how you change minds.”
The former Democrat donor didn’t hold back his criticism, asserting that Harris’s failure to run a competent campaign reflected a broader inability to lead. “They played hide the ball. They lost badly. She should go away and never, ever come back.”
Harris’s campaign was financially disastrous as well, with Morgan noting that nearly $2 billion had been spent and the campaign was still left with significant debt. “She spent almost $2 billion, they’re raising money this week to pay off the debt,” Morgan remarked.
His comments paint a grim picture of Harris’s future in politics, with Morgan questioning her qualifications for higher office. “If you can’t run your campaign, you damn sure can’t run the country.”
