As Democrats continue their criticism of President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its director, Elon Musk, podcaster Joe Rogan weighed in, defending Musk’s role in examining federal expenditures.

Critics have attempted to discredit Musk’s involvement, arguing that he is “unelected” and should not have access to government financial records.

However, DOGE operates within the Executive Office of the President, making Musk’s position an official part of the administration’s oversight efforts.

Elon Musk Called This Financial News 'Terrifying'

Opponents of DOGE’s financial review have accused Musk of attempting to cut or interfere with government programs, including Social Security. However, Musk’s role is focused on analyzing federal expenditures and identifying wasteful spending.

Despite these accusations, Musk has been conducting his work without compensation, a fact that his supporters argue contradicts claims that he is acting in self-interest.

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan spoke with guest John Reeves, addressing the controversy surrounding Musk’s role in DOGE and pushing back against Democrat narratives.

“People are worried that Elon is going to steal everyone’s money. He has $400 billion. Elon’s not going to steal your money. That’s not what he’s doing,” Rogan said.

“He’s a super genius that has been f**ked with. When you’ve been fked with by these nitwits that hide behind three-letter agencies, and you’re dealing with one of the smartest people alive, and he helps Donald Trump get into office, and he goes, ‘I want to find out what corruption is really around.’ Well, you fked up. You f**ked up and picked the wrong psychopath on the spectrum. He’s going to hunt you down, he’s going to find out what’s going on, and that’s good for everybody.”

Rogan emphasized that Musk’s review of government finances is in the public interest, stating that the bureaucratic systems under review have long operated without proper scrutiny.

“That’s how you should be looking at this, like, ‘Wow, we have a brilliant mind examining these really f**king corrupt and goofy systems. And bringing in a bunch of psychopath wizards.’”

Musk acknowledged Rogan’s comments, responding, “The party is just getting started.”

His statement suggests that the DOGE review will continue uncovering financial mismanagement and inefficiencies within the federal government.

DOGE has been tasked with conducting a detailed review of government spending, a process that includes identifying inefficiencies, eliminating unnecessary expenditures, and ensuring taxpayer funds are allocated properly.

While Democrats continue to push back against Musk’s involvement, his supporters argue that DOGE’s work is essential to bringing transparency to federal finances.

With Musk reaffirming his commitment to the review process, the debate over government spending and oversight is expected to continue, as more findings from DOGE’s investigations are made public.
