Fox News noted that Trump’s golf victory came just one day after the White House released images of him in golf attire while monitoring U.S. military strikes on Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen.

“President Trump is taking action against the Houthis to defend US shipping assets and deter terrorist threats,” the White House posted on X.

“For too long American economic & national threats have been under assault by the Houthis. Not under this presidency.”

The strikes targeted Houthi positions in response to ongoing attacks on commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea, which have disrupted global shipping and escalated tensions in the region.

The Biden-Harris administration had faced criticism for a lack of decisive action against the Iran-backed militia, while Trump has maintained a strong stance on defending American interests abroad.

Trump’s weekend included both military action and personal victory on the golf course, a reminder of his well-known passion for the sport.

His comment about this championship being “probably my last” left some wondering whether he plans to scale back on competitive play, though he remains active in the sport.
