Fulton County Libs Defy Judge, Keep Election Board Rigged [WATCH]

Georgia State Sen. Greg Dolezal criticized Fulton County officials for refusing to seat the Republican nominee to the county election board, saying the situation has resulted in a court finding of contempt and daily financial penalties.

“So this might be the most Fulton County thing ever. Fulton County is refusing to seat the Republican nominee to the county election board,” Dolezal said.

Under local law, the Fulton County election board is structured to include two Democrats, two Republicans, and one member appointed by the county’s board of commissioners.

According to Dolezal, that structure has not been followed.

“See, under local law, they have to have two Democrats, two Republicans, and one person appointed by the board of commissioners, which of course, is going to be a Democrat. And for almost a year, eight months, something like that, they have been refusing to see the Republican Jason Frazier to the local election board.”

Dolezal said the refusal to seat Jason Frazier has left Republicans without representation on the board.

“So what does that mean that these Republicans don’t have the representation?” he asked.

He noted that a judge has already taken action in response to the county’s refusal to comply with the law.

“A judge has held them in contempt of court. He’s ordered daily $10,000 fines. Fulton County still won’t move.”

According to Dolezal, the matter is continuing through the legal system.

“So now it’s gone going through the court system again.”

Dolezal argued that the issue is specific to Fulton County and not occurring elsewhere in the state.

“But when people wonder about why we keep talking about Fulton County, it’s because of stuff like this. No other counties in Georgia are acting this way. They’re not refusing to seek Democrats and Republican counties, but in Fulton County, they’re refusing to see the Republican it’s out of control.”

He concluded by calling for state-level intervention.

“It’s got to end. State of Georgia’s got to come in and take over these Fulton County elections before it’s too late.”

The dispute centers on the county’s election board composition and compliance with local law.

While the courts have imposed fines and found the county in contempt, Fulton County has not yet seated the Republican nominee. The matter remains in the court system as legal proceedings continue.
