Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, issued a vulgar six-word remark directed at President Donald Trump on Monday following a closed-door deposition of Ghislaine Maxwell before the House Oversight Committee, as Democrats continue pressing for testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation, as reported[1] by Fox News.
Maxwell, the longtime associate of Epstein and a convicted accomplice in his crimes, appeared for a closed-door deposition on Capitol Hill, where she invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and declined to answer questions from lawmakers.

The deposition drew several Democratic members of Congress, including Crockett, who spoke to reporters shortly after the session concluded.
“We’re gonna be on his a–,” Crockett told reporters Monday morning. “We have a 34-count convicted felon, and there are people that are still shielding him from any type of accountability as it relates to a child sex-trafficking ring.”
Crockett then attempted to frame the matter as nonpartisan, contrasting Democratic demands for Trump’s testimony with House Republicans’ recent actions involving former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“Right now we know that they were willing to try to throw the Clintons in prison for not showing up yet,” Crockett said.
“Then we went through the hearing as it relates to the Clintons, I said, ‘Listen, we know that Donald Trump’s name is mentioned more. Bring him in, too.’… This, for the Democrats, this isn’t partisanship. This is about right versus wrong.”
Her remarks referenced House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., who initiated contempt proceedings against both Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton after they initially declined to appear in person for their own closed-door depositions connected to the Epstein investigation.
At the time, the committee was preparing for a full House vote that could have referred the former first couple to the Department of Justice for potential criminal charges related to noncompliance.
Days before that vote, attorneys for the Clintons informed Comer that their clients would agree to appear under the committee’s terms.
Since then, a public dispute has unfolded, with the Clintons requesting that their testimony take place during televised public hearings rather than behind closed doors.
As of now, both are scheduled to testify in closed-door, videotaped depositions.
When asked by Fox News Digital about the disagreement, Crockett criticized the committee’s approach.
“What they want to do is they want to go behind closed doors and then come out with whatever spin that they want to put on it and have it be a he said, she said,” she said.
“They are playing games right now. And again, this is all about shielding and distracting from the president of the United States, who is absolutely mentioned in those files,” Crockett told Fox News Digital.
Both Trump and Bill Clinton are named in Epstein-related files that have been released by the House committee and the Department of Justice.
However, neither has been implicated in any criminal wrongdoing related to Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation.
Crockett’s comments come as she is pursuing a long-shot primary challenge against Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, in her bid for the U.S. Senate.
