Operation Epic Fury, One Week In: ‘Peace Through Strength’ Really Means Total Domination [WATCH]

Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins described the scale and impact of a U.S. military campaign known as Operation Epic Fury, outlining the scope of American operations and the damage inflicted on Iranian military capabilities during the first week of the effort.

According to Jenkins, the operation has involved a wide range of U.S. military assets and resulted in the destruction of thousands of Iranian targets across the region.

“Operation Epic Fury. Just one weekend under the leadership of Secretary head south general Kane and Admiral Cooper, has really broken records for successes,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins explained that the operation has relied on a large combination of weapons systems and military equipment deployed by U.S. forces.

“Let’s look at exactly what the American forces have used, 2000 munitions, everything from drones all the way up to massive ordinance, penetrators taking out bunkers,” Jenkins said.

He added that a wide range of aircraft have participated in the operation.

“200 different fighters, from missile launchers to fighter jets to attack jets to things that even the administration says they can’t tell us,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins also described the naval and air support involved in the campaign, including the deployment of multiple aircraft carriers and strategic bombers.

“And of course, the two aircraft carriers, the Lincoln in the Ford, a third one, we’re told, may be on the way in the b1, and b2, bombers,” Jenkins said.

The military campaign has targeted Iranian military infrastructure and equipment across multiple categories, according to Jenkins.

“What have they hit? The Iranian asset loss count, 3000 targets struck, to include the missile launching capabilities,” Jenkins said.

He said the strikes have significantly reduced Iran’s ability to launch missiles and deploy drones.

“We have seen the decrease of the number of missiles that Iran has been able to launch, down 90% drones down 83%,” Jenkins said.

Naval assets have also reportedly sustained heavy losses during the operation.

“43 Iranian ships destroyed,” Jenkins said.

He added that the strikes have severely impacted Iran’s naval forces.

“It is in one week, Operation Epic Fury has essentially wiped out the Iranian Navy,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins also reported that a submarine was destroyed during the campaign.

“And, of course, one submarine destroyed as well,” he said.

Beyond the military strikes, Jenkins said the conflict has had wider regional consequences as Iranian attacks have reportedly affected multiple countries.

“Now let’s look at you saw in Nate’s report that Iran’s President saying they were apologizing to countries they hit,” Jenkins said.

He said Iranian strikes reached numerous nations throughout the region.

“Well, they hit a lot of countries. They hit a dozen countries in the region,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins listed several of the countries and locations that were reportedly struck during the escalation.

“Essentially everybody from, of course, Israel and we saw the US bases in Kuwait, in Bahrain, in Qatar, in the UAE, they hit Amman as well,” Jenkins said.

He also referenced the strategic importance of nearby shipping lanes.

“The Strait of Hormuz is right here. That’s why there’s so much Saudi Arabia hit,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins added that Iranian strikes reached as far as Azerbaijan.

“And then even all the way up to Azerbaijan, they hit that,” Jenkins said.

He said the scope of the attacks has prompted responses from several countries in the region.

“That is why so many of the Gulf states are getting in this fight,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins noted that the growing regional involvement was not widely anticipated at the outset of the operation.

“We didn’t necessarily have this on our bingo card, but you can bet they’re not happy,” Jenkins said.

“They’re responding. We’ll see where that goes.”
