California gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell is facing mounting pressure following a series of sexual misconduct allegations, as the husband of one of his accusers publicly warned of potential legal action if further statements are made against his wife, as reported [1] by The New York Post.
Adam Parkhomenko, the husband of Ally Sammarco, issued the warning Saturday night in a statement posted on social media.
Parkhomenko said he wished Swalwell and his family well but drew a clear line regarding any response from the congressman or his legal team.

“But if Eric Swalwell or his attorney makes a single statement that disparages my wife, I will be filing a lawsuit against him,” Parkhomenko said.
“I’ve already made clear that if he believes anything I’ve said is untrue, he should sue me immediately.”
He added that Swalwell “he should be very careful about what he chooses to say” and also called on him to resign from Congress.
Sammarco is one of four women who came forward Friday with allegations of sexual misconduct against Swalwell.
According to a report published by CNN, Sammarco alleged that Swalwell sent her inappropriate messages on Snapchat in 2021, including unsolicited nude images.
She also claimed that he would go jogging in her neighborhood and ask her to come downstairs from her apartment to speak with him.
“It made me feel gross and uncomfortable,” Sammarco said. “I didn’t ask for that.”
The allegations from the other three women include more serious claims, including accusations of rape. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in New York confirmed Saturday that it has launched an investigation into the incidents.
Since the allegations became public, Swalwell’s campaign has experienced significant setbacks. Endorsements have been withdrawn, and several key staff members have resigned.
The developments come after Swalwell had already suspended his campaign for governor late Sunday, effectively ending his bid for the office.
Swalwell responded to the allegations Friday with a video statement in which he denied the claims. “they have never happened. And I will fight them with everything that I have,” he said.

His attorney, Elias Dabaie, also appeared on CNN, where he rejected the accusations and suggested that there may be broader political motivations behind them.
Dabaie said there could be a conspiracy within the Democratic Party aimed at removing Swalwell from the race to consolidate support among other candidates.
The attorney’s appearance drew criticism from opponents, including Parkhomenko, who questioned Swalwell’s response to the allegations.
“I can’t even begin to tell you the secondhand embarrassment I had watching him on CNN last night,” Parkhomenko said.
The situation continues to develop as investigators review the claims and the political fallout intensifies. Authorities have not announced any charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
