Scott Jennings Says Left-Wing Rhetoric Fueled White House Dinner Shooting: ‘He Was Programmed’ [WATCH]

CNN commentator Scott Jennings said during a recent radio broadcast that rhetoric from the political left played a role in the attempted attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where authorities say a school teacher tried to target President Donald Trump and members of his team, as reported [1] by The Gateway Pundit.

The incident led to the postponement of the annual event as law enforcement responded and secured the area. In the aftermath, Jennings reviewed publicly available details about the suspect and the surrounding political climate, arguing that the situation reflects a broader issue.

“In the hours that followed the dinner, which was postponed, a clear picture emerged. This man, a school teacher with a PhD from CalTech, had been marinated in standard-issue Left-wing talking points,” Jennings said, “things you hear every day on cable news and on the Left’s social media websites. He also attended a ‘No Kings’ rally, apparently, where people routinely hold signs and call for Trump’s death.”

Jennings said the suspect, identified as Cole Allen, had been exposed to repeated political messaging directed at President Trump.

“‘Trump is Hitler,’ ‘Trump is a fascist,’ ‘Trump is a racist,’ ‘Trump is a threat to democracy,’ ‘Trump is a pedophile.’ That is what Cole Allen was marinating in on a regular basis, and he was programmed by people like Congressman Ted Lieu,” Jennings noted.

Jennings then referenced remarks made by Ted Lieu, which he played during the segment.

“Donald Trump is in the Epstein files thousands and thousands of times,” Lieu said. “In those files, there’s highly disturbing allegations of Donald Trump raping children. Of Donald Trump threatening to kill children.”

Jennings responded directly to those remarks, arguing that such claims could influence unstable individuals.

“Obviously, the shooter believed Ted Lieu’s lies and decided to do something about it,” Jennings said. “I mean, if you believed all the things they say about Trump, you could see how someone might get the idea that killing him is a good idea. Would it be a good idea to kill Hiltler, after all?”

Jennings also pointed to comments made by Jamie Raskin during a CNN appearance the morning after the incident, stating that responses from Democratic officials did not acknowledge the broader concerns he raised.

“But when violent action occurs, we get Democrats immediately claiming they have no idea what you’re talking about,” Jennings continued. “Listen to Congressman Jamie Raskin on Sunday morning, the morning after this, on CNN. It’s jaw-dropping.”

The suspect’s alleged actions and statements have not yet been fully detailed by authorities, and investigators have not publicly confirmed a motive tied to political rhetoric. The case remains under investigation.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is an annual event attended by journalists, government officials, and public figures. Security at the event is typically extensive due to the presence of the President and senior administration officials.

Officials have not released additional details regarding the suspect’s background beyond what has been publicly reported, including his profession and academic credentials. Authorities have also not announced further charges or provided a timeline for court proceedings.
