One of Hulk Hogan’s former employees is now confronting a serious federal case.
The accountant who once worked for the late wrestling icon has been indicted on multiple charges of wire fraud after allegedly taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from a well-known individual, as reported[1] by Reality Tea.
Reports indicate that the accused, Melissa Gauthreaux, may have embezzled approximately $890,000.

Although the victim is described only as a “public figure,” it is widely noted that Gauthreaux was previously employed by Hulk Hogan between 2017 and 2021. Investigators believe the alleged crimes occurred during that time period.
According to a federal indictment cited by TMZ, Melissa Gauthreaux faces six counts of wire fraud.
She allegedly used her company, Accounting Resources and Management Services, to funnel money away from her employer without authorization.
TMZ’s sources say that Gauthreaux handled bookkeeping duties and other financial tasks for the former WWE superstar and actor.
She reportedly had signing authority on behalf of the alleged victim, a situation that prosecutors claim allowed her to move funds undetected.
The indictment suggests that Gauthreaux used her official business to execute the transfers over several years.
Because she was entrusted with managing finances, this authority may have provided the mechanism to carry out the alleged embezzlement.
Federal authorities have been investigating the situation for an extended period. The FBI reportedly conducted a lengthy inquiry before bringing formal charges, as confirmed by the latest court filings.
If convicted, Gauthreaux could face up to 20 years in federal prison for each of the six charges against her. Legal experts note that wire fraud convictions often come with significant prison terms and restitution orders.
The indictment comes amid a series of troubling reports surrounding the late wrestler since his passing last summer. In August, claims surfaced that he might have been the victim of medical malpractice before his death in the previous month.
Further details in those reports included notes about Hogan’s will, which allegedly specified that his daughter, Brooke, did not receive any inheritance. It was later made clear that this was a voluntary decision on her part rather than a dispute.

As for the newly filed criminal case, prosecutors have not yet publicly confirmed the identity of the victim. The documents refer only to an unnamed public figure believed to have lost a substantial amount of money as a result of the alleged crimes.
While Hogan’s name has not formally appeared in the filings, the connection between Gauthreaux’s past employment and the current charges has drawn attention in both wrestling and entertainment circles.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates are expected as the case moves through the federal court system. Until then, questions continue about who exactly the alleged victim might be and how the funds were diverted over several years.
