Lizzo Fires Back After Accusation She Trash-Talked Taylor Swift [WATCH]

Lizzo is setting the record straight after being accused of badmouthing Taylor Swift on social media.

The exchange began when an X user posted a clip from her music video “STFU,” taken from the 2025 mixtape “MY FACE STILL HURTS FROM SMILING.”

The user’s cryptic caption compared numbers from Lizzo’s releases with other projects and included several emojis, sparking confusion among followers, as reported [3] by Page Six.

Lizzo reshared the post asking her fans, “Can someone explain what this means?”

Her question drew a reply from a commenter who accused her of taking jabs at Swift. “It means all that s–t talking you did about Tay finally caught up to you,” the person wrote, a message that received over 2,000 likes.

Lizzo quickly responded to the allegation with a direct and explicit message on Saturday. She said, “First of all I have never talked s–t about Taylor Swift. Also while we on the subject I’ve never talked s–t about any artist.”

She added, “Just because I mention an artist by name does not mean I’m talking s–t— grow tf up pls.”

That response prompted more debate among fans. Some users pushed back, claiming Lizzo had previously sided with Kanye West following the release of his 2016 song “Famous,” a track that mentioned Swift.

One commenter argued, “YES YOU HAVE TALKED SHIT ABOUT TAYLOR STOP GASLIGHTING US ?? you literally sided with KANYE WEST in 2016 lets not-,” while another said, “NEVER??? let me refresh your memory a little. I’m actually really glad your career is in ruins,” attaching an old clip of Lizzo rapping along to West’s track.

Another critic added, “You’ve been talking s–t about her for years pls spare us the gaslighting.”

But not everyone agreed with those claims. Several fans defended Lizzo, saying the footage did not prove she ever insulted Swift.

“I hate Kanye, but her doing a song with him isn’t talking s–t about TS. May you be more elaborate, please? genuinely asking,” one person wrote in her defense.

“She did not. Singing a song doesn’t make you that,” another commented, echoing the belief that the criticism was misplaced.

One loyal supporter declared, “Was literally about to say you don’t even talk s–t about other artists like wtf are they on IM A HEAVY LIZZO DEFENDER UNTIL I DIE IDGAF.”

Despite the resurfaced video, Lizzo has spoken positively of Swift in the past. During a 2022 appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” she humorously called herself “the black Taylor Swift” while talking about writing songs inspired by her dating life.

In that same interview, Lizzo said, “I really am, I’m trifling. I don’t talk too badly about [an ex’s] character, it’s just what he do. I’ll be like, ‘He’s a good person, but this is what he did. Am I tripping?’ They’d be like, ‘You’re not tripping, you’re not tripping.’”

That year she also publicly responded when West made remarks about her body.

The latest online clash underscores how quickly old clips and allegations can resurface and spark arguments across fan bases. Still, Lizzo’s message to her detractors was clear — she denied ever speaking negatively about Taylor Swift or any other artist.
