Tom Homan Fires Back at Radical Texas Democrat After She Threatens to Jail ICE Agents [WATCH]

Border Czar Tom Homan pushed back Thursday after Texas Democrat Maureen Galindo said she would turn an ICE detention facility into a prison for former immigration officers and “American Zionists” if elected, as reported [1] by Fox News.

Homan addressed the comments during an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” where he rejected Galindo’s remarks and said federal immigration enforcement efforts under President Donald Trump would continue.

“You know, she’s obviously an idiot. Bottom line is, bring it. I’m sick of the threats from some of these out-of-touch Democrats,” Homan said Thursday.

The dispute began after Galindo’s campaign posted on Instagram earlier this month that, if elected, she would turn the “Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.”

The post [2] also said, “It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.”

Galindo is running in a primary runoff for a Texas congressional seat. Her comments drew backlash after the post circulated publicly, and she later said she had received “death threats” over the remarks.

Galindo later attempted to clarify her statement, saying she was not calling for “Jews in internment camps.”

“I said I want to close all ICE detention centers and put billionaire American Zionists who are funding the genocidal prison systems involved in trafficking into prison,” Galindo wrote.

Homan said the remarks were part of broader threats aimed at federal immigration officers and said the administration would not be deterred from enforcing immigration law.

“You can threaten lawsuits and arrests all you want. We’re [going to] keep doing the job,” Homan said. “So, keep the threats going, you’re not going to stop us, we’re [going to] keep pushing ahead.”

Homan also praised federal immigration officers and credited President Donald Trump’s leadership for the administration’s border enforcement record.

“We got the most secure border in the history of this nation because of President Trump’s leadership. We’re having record arrests, record removals,” Homan said. “So, threat all you want, you’re not stopping what we’re doing.”

The comments come as Homan and the Trump administration continue to defend ICE agents and broader immigration enforcement efforts amid criticism from Democrats and anti-ICE activists.

Galindo’s remarks have also prompted criticism from members of her own party. Several Democrats have distanced themselves from her campaign, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

Galindo has responded by accusing the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee of working against her campaign. She claimed the DCCC was coordinating a smear campaign to protect her runoff opponent, Johnny Garcia, a former sheriff’s deputy.

Galindo and Garcia are competing in the Democratic primary runoff for U.S. House District 35 in Texas. Both candidates participated in a forum held by the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area in the Sidney Board Room at Brooks in San Antonio on May 6, 2026.

Homan’s remarks on Thursday made clear that he sees Galindo’s comments as another threat against federal immigration officers, while the Trump administration continues to press forward with its immigration agenda.
