BB Gun Rampage: Man Arrested After Firing at Nude Cyclists During Los Angeles Circus Ride [WATCH]

A man was arrested Saturday in downtown Los Angeles after authorities said he allegedly fired a BB gun at participants taking part in the annual World Naked Bike Ride, leaving two people with minor injuries, as reported [1] by The Gateway Pundit.

According to reports, the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon involving a BB gun, along with additional charges that have not been specified.

Authorities said two victims suffered lacerations during the incident.

Video from the scene showed police arresting a man dressed in black following the reported shooting.

The incident occurred during Los Angeles’ annual World Naked Bike Ride, an event that organizers hold each year during the summer months.

Participants ride through city streets in various states of undress to promote cyclist safety and raise awareness of climate-related issues.

According to ABC 7, two separate rides were held in Los Angeles on Saturday at different times. Each route covered nearly 10 miles through the city.

The event drew hundreds of participants and spectators throughout downtown Los Angeles.

The New York Post reported that cyclists gathered in a parking area in Little Tokyo before beginning their ride through the city.

Participants used body paint in place of traditional cycling clothing, while police escorts helped manage traffic as riders traveled along routes lined with onlookers.

Organizers describe the ride as both a demonstration for bicycle safety and a protest highlighting environmental concerns and automobile dependence.

Although participants ride with little or no clothing, the event operates under guidelines intended to distinguish it from sexually explicit conduct.

According to reports, organizers prohibit lewd or sexually explicit exposure and characterize the event as an exercise in public expression and advocacy rather than entertainment.

California law has long presented questions regarding public nudity in certain organized events, and the World Naked Bike Ride has continued operating within that legal framework under established event guidelines.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding what led to the alleged BB gun shooting or whether the suspect knew any of the participants.

Police have also not disclosed the identities of either the suspect or the two injured individuals.

The victims’ injuries were reported as lacerations, and no life-threatening injuries were announced.

Law enforcement officers remained at the scene while investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not released further details regarding the additional charges the suspect may face.

The annual World Naked Bike Ride has been held in cities around the world for years, with organizers promoting the event as a campaign for bicycle safety, environmental awareness, and public advocacy.

Los Angeles is among several U.S. cities that host the event each summer.

Authorities have not indicated whether the incident will affect future rides or related events.
