Elf Actor Faizon Love Appears Blank-Faced in During His Mugshot After Florida Arrest [WATCH]

Actor Faizon Love, best known for his role alongside Will Ferrell in “Elf,” is in custody in Florida following his arrest on a warrant for allegedly violating a court order, as reported [1] by The New York Post.

According to jail records reviewed by The Post, the 58-year-old comedian was taken into custody Tuesday in Hillsborough County.

He faces two counts of contempt of court and is being held without bond at Orient Road Jail in Tampa.

Love’s mugshot shows him appearing haggard and expressionless as he posed for booking photos.

TMZ, which first reported the news, stated that the charges are connected to a paternity case involving the actor.

Representatives for Love were not immediately available for comment following the arrest.

The actor, who lives in Glendale, California, has previously appeared in “Friday,” “The Replacements,” and “Couples Retreat.”

Love has a prior history of legal issues, including assault-related incidents.

In 2017, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge after assaulting a valet at John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio, an altercation that was captured on camera.

For that offense, Love was fined $500 and received a suspended jail sentence of 180 days.

More recently, in August 2024, he was accused of felony assault following an incident at the Sheraton Mission Valley in San Diego.

Authorities said Love threw a credit card machine at a hotel clerk’s head after she told him the room he booked through a third-party app was unavailable.

According to a criminal complaint, the device struck the woman on the left side of her head, breaking her glasses.

The alleged victim has since filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for medical expenses and emotional distress.

The Hillsborough County arrest marks another addition to the actor’s ongoing legal troubles.

As of now, no hearing date or further details regarding the Florida case have been released.
