Greta Thunberg arrived in Paris and quickly made clear that calming the unrest was not on her agenda. The young leftist activist instead offered enthusiastic support for the street mobs and praised the students taking part, as reported [1] by The Gateway Pundit.
The article characterized the unrest as involving Islamist and anarchist rioters. Thunberg arrived in France earlier in the week and appeared ready to encourage the movement rather than urge restraint.
She was also wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh during her appearance. Her message to the demonstrators was direct, celebratory, and loaded with praise for what they were doing in the streets.
“We stand behind you, we support you. Oh, really? Yes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The whole world is following what you’re doing.”

That was hardly the language of someone showing up to lower the temperature. Thunberg went on to portray the French students as an example for young people around the world and defended revolt as an expected response.
Her extended remarks praised youth activism, attacked police and politicians, and called for multiple leftist movements to unite against what she described as a destructive system.
“I’m incredibly proud of the French students. Young people all over the world, especially in France, are leading by example, showing what young people all over the world should do, because young people are being neglected. What do you expect young people to do? Of course we’re gonna revolt, of course we’re gonna rise up. So it should be— should have been expected. And that the police are now meeting it with such violence, and politicians are meeting it with— as if it’s something unexpected, or that young people are destroying things just shows that they are living in a completely different reality. All the movements now need to be united, whether it is students’ movements, workers’ movements, migrants’ rights movements, climate movements. We all need to stand united because we are facing the same enemy, which is this extremely destructive system which is not working to our benefit and which is incompatible, I would say, with human rights and humanity as a whole. The police are extremely violently protecting our already extremely violent businesses. Just shows everything about them and who they are really protecting. They are supposed to be protecting young people. They are supposed to be protecting their human rights.”
Oh look Greta Thunberg, who thought that high school is so important that she dropped out of high school for a year to become a professional protester is joining the high school protesters in France because high school is so important for young people.
She’s pathetic! https://t.co/LFbxOA95Ve

Thunberg’s comments left little ambiguity about her position. She said young people would revolt and rise up, while accusing authorities of living in a different reality when they reacted to destruction.
She also sought to connect several activist factions under one political banner. Her list included student movements, worker movements, migrant rights movements, and climate movements.
According to Thunberg, those groups face what she called the same enemy. She described that enemy as an extremely destructive system that does not benefit them and is incompatible with human rights and humanity.
The climate activist also accused police of acting with extreme violence while protecting businesses she likewise labeled violent. She argued that officers should instead be protecting young people and their human rights.
The article blasted Thunberg as a global leftist youth leader who was calling for additional mass rioting and destruction. Its presentation was openly mocking of any suggestion that her Paris appearance was intended to bring peace.
Thunberg was also seen smiling while migrant students danced for her. That scene added another celebratory note to an appearance already filled with applause for revolt, activist unity, and resistance to the existing system.
Greta Thunberg laughs hysterically as French migrant students dance for her amid the ongoing riots in France.

Rather than offering any warning about damaged property or unrest, Thunberg focused her criticism on police, politicians, businesses, and the broader system. Her message to the French students was one of pride and encouragement.
The Paris appearance placed Thunberg squarely alongside the activists in the streets. Her own words praised their example, predicted revolt, and urged different movements to unite against a common enemy.
