Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas is warning that investigations into birth tourism agencies could come to an abrupt end if Democrats regain control of the U.S. House. The Republican congressman said committee power would instead be directed at people removing illegal aliens from the country.
Gill delivered [1] the warning in a post on X, drawing a sharp contrast between the investigative priorities of the current House and those Democrats would pursue. His message focused on how control of congressional committees determines which people and organizations face scrutiny.
“If Democrats take back the House, the gavels on our committees will be used to investigate the people removing illegal aliens from the country instead of to continue our investigations into the birth tourism companies circumventing America’s sovereignty,” Gill wrote.

The warning points directly to an investigation Gill has been leading through the House Oversight Committee. Breitbart In May that the effort was examining agencies that help foreign nationals give birth to their babies in the United States.
Gill’s Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses sent letters to multiple birth tourism agencies in Florida, Texas, and California. Those letters requested documents concerning the agencies’ childbirth packages and services offered to foreign clients.
Four agencies were identified as recipients of the task force letters. They were Have My Baby in Miami, International Maternity Services in El Paso, Doctores Para Ti in El Paso, and Dr. Athiya Javid’s OB/GYN clinic in San Diego.
International Maternity Services was described as Maternity Services of El Paso and as being based in Texas. The two other Texas recipients were both located in El Paso, while the remaining agencies were located in Miami and San Diego.
Gill asked each agency to provide records about its childbirth packages. That request included materials related to how foreign clients may be coached about obtaining temporary visas to enter the United States.

The investigation is also examining whether clients are instructed to seek temporary visas without explicitly disclosing that they are traveling to the United States to give birth. Gill’s inquiry therefore focuses on the information provided during the visa process.
In a letter to executives at Have My Baby in Miami, Gill addressed the legal distinction at the center of his investigation. He wrote that “while it is not inherently illegal for a foreign traveler to give birth in the United States,” visa applicants still must accurately represent their intentions.
Gill said the misrepresentation of a person’s “intentions to enter the country on a temporary visitor visa is a violation of current law and considered visa fraud.” His letter placed the focus on whether travelers conceal their actual purpose when seeking admission with a temporary visa.
The investigation seeks documents that could show how the agencies describe their childbirth packages and advise prospective clients. According to the report, the requested materials concern coaching that foreign clients may receive before entering the United States.
Gill’s latest warning argues that a Democratic House majority would bring a dramatic reversal in committee priorities. Rather than continuing scrutiny of companies he says are circumventing American sovereignty, he said Democrats would investigate the officials and personnel removing illegal aliens.
The congressman previously appeared on Fox News Channel’s The Will Cain Show in September and criticized the Democratic approach to illegal immigration. Gill said that “Democrats will impulsively side with illegal aliens, no matter what the facts are.”
His comments connect that criticism with the practical consequences of House control. Committee gavels bring investigative authority, and Gill is warning that Democrats would use that authority to shut down the birth tourism inquiries while turning scrutiny toward those carrying out removals.
The central fight is over whether the House Oversight Committee investigation will continue seeking records from the four named agencies. Gill’s warning leaves voters with a clear choice about which set of investigations would receive congressional attention if control of the chamber changes.
