Hunter Biden Keeps Spewing ‘Laptop From Hell’ Lies to Feed His Shameless Publicity Addiction

Hunter Biden’s latest publicity push keeps producing fresh attention for The Post’s “laptop from hell” reporting.

Rather than putting the controversy behind him, his podcast appearances and online declarations keep inviting comparisons between his current claims and his earlier explanations.

One glaring example concerns Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that paid him $1 million to serve on its board while Joe Biden was vice president.

Hunter previously presented his experience as a board member and lawyer as justification, but his latest account offered a far less flattering picture.

“The requirement of the board would be that I would show up for four meetings a year,” he told the addiction podcast “Dopey.”

He added, “Even when I was a crack addict and out of my mind, I could show up for four meetings a year.”

That arrangement worked out to roughly $250,000 for each board meeting, with expenses paid for gatherings in places including Monaco, Paris and Dubai.

Hunter also described money continuing to appear while he spent two years using crack and staying at costly hotels such as the Chateau Marmont.

“A check would come in from somewhere, you know, and, and by the way, this is all during the time that, that, you know, the New York Post would have you believe, or MAGA would have you believe, that I was running some kind of international crime syndicate, and, you know, blah, blah, blah, I mean, it’s bulls–t.”

The Post’s account describes the operation as an international influence trading scheme conducted with Joe Biden’s knowledge and involvement. Burisma payments continued after his vice presidency ended, although the checks were cut in half, while millions also arrived from the Chinese energy company CEFC.

Hunter remains equally dismissive about the laptop he left at John Paul Mac Isaac’s Delaware repair shop. The FBI took possession of it in December 2019 and secretly verified that it belonged to Hunter and had not been altered, according to the source.

“There really isn’t a laptop,” Hunter tells podcasters. He has also said, “They held a laptop, which was not my laptop,” and “The laptop is bulls–t.”

His most sweeping claim was: “Not one single person has ever accused me of a crime based upon anything that was in or discovered as it relates to my laptop. Not one.” Yet prosecutors used laptop material during his 2024 Delaware gun trial, where a jury convicted him of three felonies.

Laptop evidence also appeared in his California tax fraud case, where he pleaded guilty on the first day of jury selection. Hunter avoided prison because his father issued a pardon extending to 2014, when the Burisma arrangement began.

Hunter is now attempting to profit from his notoriety through a meme coin called “$Laptop.” After its launch earlier this month, someone made nearly $1 million within minutes, although Hunter wrote on X, “I, personally, have not made a single dollar.”

Four out of five crypto wallets that purchased the coin lost money, according to a Datavault AI analysis. The company described the launch as a “classic rug pull,” while reporting that one unidentified trader using a pseudonym made about $930,000 before the cryptocurrency collapsed.

Hunter blamed the market maker hired to manage trading, saying, “There was a f–k-up [that] occurred in the first 30 seconds of launching the coin, in which the market maker, for some unknown goddamn reason, only put in $5,000 of liquidity.”

A source familiar with the project said there were few genuine buyers beyond bots and a handful of small gamblers, prompting low initial liquidity intended to deter scammers. “People weren’t really excited about Hunter Biden’s meme coin and were actually turned off by the idea,” the source said.

That account clashes with Hunter’s claims that demand was “through the roof” and the coin briefly had a market value “larger than the market cap of f—kin’ goddamn BlackRock.” He has since argued that the Trump family’s conduct is comparable.

ProPublica reported that Putin linked oligarch Umar Kremlev paid “hundreds of thousands” for Donald Trump Jr.’s festivities following his wedding.

Utah Republican Sen. John Curtis wants Hunter and Trump Jr. to testify before the Senate under oath.

Trump Jr.’s conduct does not approach the Biden family controversies, citing FBI obstruction allegations, social media censorship, Justice Department interference, CIA stonewalling and the 51 former intelligence officials who labeled the laptop Russian disinformation.

Joe Biden insisted that he knew nothing about his son’s multimillion dollar foreign business arrangements, despite dining with Hunter’s partners and joining calls on speakerphone. He also promised that he would not pardon Hunter before ultimately doing exactly that.
