Kevin Bacon’s Missing FedEx Package Takes a Wild Global Tour as Star Begs for Help [WATCH]

Kevin Bacon is asking his followers for help after a package filled with decades-old clothing took a baffling journey around the world instead of reaching him in Ireland. The actor, 68, said the shipment had finally reached the country but remained undelivered, as reported [1] by Fox News.

Bacon was working in Ireland and wanted to avoid bringing too much luggage. He decided to ship clothing from upstate New York to his filming location, expecting the package to cross the Atlantic without such an extraordinary itinerary.

“Hey everybody, it’s me. I’m over here, I’m working in Ireland,” Bacon told his followers. “I wanted to pack light, so I decided to ship some old clothes over here to Ireland. I don’t buy a lot of clothes. I’ve had these clothes probably since the ’90s.”

The “Footloose” actor avoided initially naming the shipping company directly, instead offering a pointed clue. “So I used a shipping service that I don’t want to say the name, but it rhymes with BreadX,” he said.

Bacon shipped the box on Sept. 26, but its route quickly became complicated. The package first went to Memphis before continuing through France and Germany, then took a striking wrong turn.

“It went straight to Memphis, and then from Memphis it to France and by Sept. 28 it arrived in Germany, and by Sept. 29, they shipped it straight to Israel, not Ireland – Israel.”

That confusion between destinations was only the beginning. According to Bacon, the package went from Israel back to France on Oct. 3, then returned to Israel the next day.

The box traveled to Germany on Oct. 5, but it was routed back to Israel on Oct. 6. Bacon continued tracking the clothes as they moved between countries without reaching their intended destination.

“On Oct. 10, that box of old clothes made its way all the way to France, and on Oct. 11 it arrived in the UK, in England,” he said. After getting tantalizingly close to Ireland, the package finally entered the correct country.

“Pretty close. Guess what? On Oct. 11, it left the UK and came straight to Ireland, where it has been sitting for five days, and they say they’re unable to deliver it.”

Reaching Ireland did not end Bacon’s frustration. He said the package was simply sitting there, while his attempts to speak with someone about the delivery had not produced a solution.

“I don’t understand why. It’s just sitting there,” he said. “I can’t get a person the phone. I have not been able to talk to anybody. I know what you’re thinking: Just go buy some more clothes.”

Bacon acknowledged that purchasing replacements was possible, but said that would not solve the real problem. The clothes had been with him since the 1990s and carried personal meaning beyond their practical use.

“And you’re right. I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes. I’ve had them since the ’90s. These are like … they have a certain sentimental value.”

The “Tremors” star said the shipment contained “old boots, old jeans, old hats” and wondered whether he would ever see the items again. As the wait continued in Ireland, he added another practical concern: “It’s starting to get cold here.”

FedEx representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. The company separately apologized for the incident, said it was communicating directly with Bacon’s team to deliver the package and was reviewing what went wrong.
