Democrat Elites Rage as Haley Stevens Backs Jews, Israel, and Trump-Backed Mike Rogers [WATCH]

Democratic Michigan Rep. Haley Stevens jolted her own party earlier today when she appeared alongside Republican Michigan Senate Nominee Mike Rogers at a Detroit black church. Stevens then announced that she was endorsing Rogers, the Republican backed by President Trump, as reported [1] by The Gateway Pundit.

The move followed a clash between Stevens and Democratic Senate Nominee Abdul El-Sayed. Their dispute involved advertisements supporting El-Sayed that the report described as antisemitic, along with his instruction that Stevens stay away from his campaign events.

Stevens addressed the dispute and her resulting endorsement in a social media video released this morning. Rather than quietly accepting the rejection from her party’s nominee, she publicly agreed that she no longer belonged at his events.

In the video, Stevens said, “As you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away.”

She then delivered the political shocker: “And he’s right, and that’s why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.”

The endorsement crossed party lines and placed Stevens beside the Republican nominee instead of El-Sayed. The report described the announcement as a political earthquake because it came from a Democratic member of Congress supporting the Trump backed Republican in Michigan’s Senate contest.

Stevens also criticized El-Sayed over his alignment with Hasan Piker. The report characterized Piker as a radical antisemitic Communist influencer and presented that association as another part of Stevens’ break with the Democratic Senate nominee.

The report praised Stevens as the lone Democrat willing to confront what it called the left’s destructive embrace of antisemitic politics. Its argument was blunt: Stevens chose to challenge hostility toward Jews rather than fall obediently behind her party’s nominee.

That position immediately drew attention from prominent figures on the left. The report specifically said Mehdi Hasan and Stacy Abrams fumed at Stevens after she announced her support for Rogers and defended her stance concerning Jews and Israel.

Their reaction became part of a collection of video segments assembled by George Behizy. Behizy posted the clips on his online YouTube channel, bringing the responses together as the political fallout from Stevens’ endorsement unfolded.

The report portrayed those reactions as evidence that the left was furious with Stevens for standing on principle. Its central criticism was that Democratic elites were more interested in defending El-Sayed than supporting Stevens after her dispute with him.

The article’s broader contention was even harsher. It argued that Jews are no longer welcome in the Democratic Party and accused party figures of defending an antisemitic candidate and hostility toward Jews before defending Jewish voters.

Stevens’ own explanation remained focused on El-Sayed’s decision to exclude her from his campaign. After recounting his demand that she stay away, she accepted that separation and used it to explain why she was endorsing Rogers for the United States Senate.

The sequence was straightforward but politically explosive. El-Sayed told Stevens she was not welcome, Stevens agreed that she should remain away, and she publicly transferred her support to the Republican competing for the Senate seat.

Her appearance with Rogers at the Detroit church gave the announcement a public setting beyond the social media video. Together, the appearance and endorsement marked a dramatic rejection of the Democratic nominee by a sitting Democratic Michigan representative.

The dispute also centered attention on the advertisements supporting El-Sayed that Stevens had challenged. The report described those advertisements as antisemitic and connected the argument over them to El-Sayed’s demand that Stevens avoid his campaign events.

For the report, Stevens’ decision represented a rare Democratic refusal to follow the party’s direction amid a dispute over Jews and Israel. Hasan and Abrams, meanwhile, were presented as prominent left wing voices angered by that refusal.

Stevens did not merely criticize El-Sayed and then remain neutral in the race. She endorsed Rogers by name, calling for the Republican nominee to serve in the United States Senate and making her break with El-Sayed unmistakable.

That endorsement left Democratic elites facing an uncomfortable spectacle of their own making. A Democratic representative rejected their Senate nominee, stood with the Trump-backed Republican, and publicly cited her exclusion from El-Sayed’s campaign as the reason.
