Soros Cash Helps Sweep Woke Doctor Democrats Into Congress [WATCH]

A political action committee supported through a dark money funding chain tied to George Soros and his son Alex helped elect a record number of Democratic doctors and scientists to Congress. Nineteen lawmakers backed [1] by the effort won election this week, bringing careers shaped by race, DEI, climate change and gun control into Washington.

The group, 3.14 Action, says its mission is to “identify STEM leaders who would make strong candidates, recruit them to run for office and provide game-changing support.” It doubled its investment during the midterms and spent $23 million on candidates.

Among the winners was Dr. Annie Andrews, a 46 year old pediatrician and first time politician who won the South Carolina Senate seat long held by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham. Andrews defeated his sister and successor, Sen. Darline Graham, after her campaign had been considered a long shot.

Andrews has supported puberty blockers and cross sex hormones for minors. She declared last year that “gender affirming care isn’t child abuse” while building a research record that includes numerous political and identity centered studies.

Her clinical specialty is asthma, which dominated her initial research, but her work shifted around 2020. Since then, she has authored nine studies on firearms, including the 2020 paper “Pediatric Hospitalists at the Front Line of Gun Violence,” which promoted responsible weapons storage.

Andrews also helped write a 2022 Journal of Pediatrics paper titled “Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Utilization of Tonsillectomy among Medicaid-Insured Children.” That paper called for developing “culturally appropriate interventions.”

In a 2024 JAMA opinion piece, Andrews said it was time to become political for children. She described taking “a hard pivot into politics” for “the sick and injured kids I care for” because of gun safety, gender affirming care and vaccines.

Richard Pan, a 61 year old California pediatrician, also won his first campaign for federal office. In 2015, he recruited Sacramento parents to create Vaccinate California, which pushed to prohibit personal belief exemptions from school vaccine requirements, and the proposal became state law that year.

Pan’s research includes papers titled “Enhancing the Racial and Ethnic Diversity of the Pediatric Workforce” and “Nondiscrimination in Pediatric Health Care.” Jamie Ager, meanwhile, flipped a North Carolina House seat and has been promoted as an “environmental scientist,” though his listed science credential is an undergraduate degree in environmental studies and history from Warren Wilson College.

New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Adam Hamawy, 57, volunteered in Gaza and won his House campaign while facing scrutiny over alleged past connections to Islamic extremists. The Investigative Project on Terrorism has accused him of lying under oath while serving as a defense witness for “the Blind Sheikh,” though Hamawy was never charged with perjury.

Hamawy accompanied the man behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing on a 1991 road trip to an Islamic conference in Detroit. He also volunteered in Bosnia with a Chicago based nonprofit whose offices were raided by the government in 2002 after authorities determined it was a front for al-Qaeda.

Incoming Michigan senator Abdul El-Sayed, 42, calls himself a physician despite never completing his medical school residency or holding a medical license. His research includes Columbia University work criticized as “eugenics” that suggested Arab women should reproduce within their own group for optimal health outcomes.

El-Sayed’s medical degree was funded through a Soros family grant for new Americans. Theo Wold, a former White House deputy assistant for domestic policy under Trump, accused the left of using academia and scientific credentials to advance ideology.

“This is just the left trying to capitalize on their complete occupation and control of higher education and academia,” Wold told The Post. “They want to use scientific credentials to hoodwink voters into trusting so-called scientific expertise that is just leftist ideology with a veneer of STEM terminology.”

The PAC’s legislative priorities include abortion, climate change and gun violence. It has also labeled Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. its “number one villain” while openly opposing his Make America Healthy Again movement.

With Democrats holding a newly won House majority, the party can subpoena witnesses during congressional investigations. Pan has said questioning Kennedy under oath helped motivate his run, El-Sayed has vowed to investigate him, and Andrews has promised to impeach and remove him.

Open Society Action Fund, backed by Alex and George Soros, gave $34.4 million to Our American Future Action in 2024. That organization contributed $9 million to House Majority Forward, which donated $2.5 million to 3.14 Action, according to donation records.

The PAC provides candidates with recruitment, training, staff support, polling, strategic guidance and money. It also produced more than 2,300 advertisements that aired hundreds of thousands of times in October, with many highlighting candidates’ healthcare backgrounds, according to a Washington Post analysis.

3.14 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton defended the group and blamed Kennedy for politicizing science. RFK Jr. did not return The Post’s request for comment.
