Trump Calls on Congress to Investigate Obama Publishing, Netflix Deals

President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday morning, calling on Congress to investigate the post-presidency activities of Barak Obama and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama.

The president said that the House Judiciary Committee has “given up on the Mueller Report,” and called on the House to investigate the “Obama Book Deal, or the ridiculous Netflix deal,” and “all the deals made by Dems in Congress, the ‘Congressional Slush Fund.'”

At this time, it is unclear if Trump is serious about wanting Congress to investigate the Obamas or if he was simply making a hyperbolic joke to expose what he sees as an unfair investigation led by Special Council Robert Mueller.

A few hours after sending out the first texts, the president doubled down with more.

Trump hasn’t been afraid to express negative opinions about the Obama family in the past. When the two families met on Trump’s inauguration day, several awkward moments occurred, including a few interactions between current First Lady Melania Trump and Michelle Obama.
