Nancy Pelosi RIPS Donald Trump’s Speech in Half After His SOTU Speech

Donald Trump just finished giving his highly-anticipated State of the Union address. As soon as he finished, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped up the written version of his speech.

Throughout the president’s address, the Speaker refused to applaud or stand up. At several points, she even turned to her own caucus and told them not to clap.

The speech is already being hailed as one of the best–if not the best–speeches of the Donald Trump presidency. Trump didn’t mention the Democrats or impeachment. Instead, he focused on his administration’s accomplishments and sending a positive, patriotic message.

The president touched on many topics during his address, including illegal immigration, the economy, education, and his border wall. He set a positive tone and outlook for his 2020 campaign. The Democrats, on the other hand, showed up at the State of the Union ready to protest. A number of left-wing House members wore white and refused to stand up or clap when Trump touted successes for the nation.
